Hello!

I just discovered MLT last week and saw that they added an additional bonus round so I can still apply!

I have a question about the letter of recommendation, I just have to submit the name and email of the person who will write it and they will receive a link? Are they any restrictions on the letter?

Hey, I applied for the bonus deadline too! I just did my interview last night and now I’m not so sure about my chances lol. Did you apply for traditional or accelerated? They said a GMAT score wasn’t required for the bonus round but wasn’t sure if that applied to only traditional, accelerated or both since it was listed under both programs.

Hi! I applied to the traditional and also did the interview last night. I think my interview was definitely the weakest part of my application. Regarding the GMAT, I submitted my score but I am pretty sure it was mandatory for the accelerated program. Maybe you can email them? This was on the website:

For the MBAP 2023 Bonus Round (deadline March 5, 2022), the MBAP Traditional program will not be requiring an official GMAT/GRE score. The Accelerated program will continue to required an official score to complete an application. Applicants who apply to Traditional MBAP without a score will be reviewed based on their academic and professional quantitative and analytical records in lieu of a test score.

Ahh yeah that’s what I thought. I’m kinda freaking out. I emailed them to ask if they can still consider me for traditional. Not sure how I overlooked that. Wish me luck!

Yes. I applied to the accelerated program for the bonus round. I confirmed with a coach that it was fine to submit without GMAT. But yeah I don’t know how to feel about it. I thought I put together a strong app with strong essays but I’m probably biased. The interview part of it I am super nervous about. I don’t feel it was my best but I tried to hit as many points possible. I think the acc program is more competitive to get into than traditional so I feel like I kinda shot myself in the foot.

For those on this thread who have been accepted or eventually end up being accepted, can you post stats? (GPA, gmat, work exp, industry, leadership etc.) I think it will be very helpful especially for future applicants to look back on.

For those on this thread who have been accepted or eventually end up being accepted, can you post stats? (GPA, gmat, work exp, industry, leadership etc.) I think it will be very helpful especially for future applicants to look back on.

I was admitted during the final round. Here are my stats-
uGPA: 2.65 from non-HYP ivy
GRE: 312 (162V 150Q)
WE: Active Duty Military, Enlisted, Non-commissioned Officer. Job field is in Military Intelligence, assignment to 3 letter agency with high-level national security mission.

Things that I believe helped my application to MLT-
Volunteer: Have spent the last 7-8 years consulting URM during their college applications, am actively involved as an Admissions Ambassador for my alma mater, have signed on as an admissions ambassador for a veterans non-profit focused on providing college mentorship to transitioning vets.
LoR: 1 from a former HS teacher who has been my advocate since I was 14- he is a college admissions advisor at an international school nowadays, is familiar with my story/achievements over my lifetime. 1 from my immediate mission supervisor- she is a great writer as well.
Essays: Kept the MLT mission in mind, did some soul-searching, and wrote to the best of my ability. Was clear about my short and long term aspirations, as well as my commitment to serving my community over a lifetime
Other: Was transparent about the fact that my GRE was taken w/out prep and last minute to meet their previous deadline. Have enrolled in 2 test prep programs, am working through them. Anticipating much better scores in the near future. Enrolled into HBX Core to hopefully provide a good alternative transcript. Made it through a military training program that has an attrition rate of ~80-85%.

I still haven’t heard anything. I think it is safe to say I either did not get accepted or decisions for the accelerated program may come in at a later point. The first seminar is tomorrow so I think I would have heard by now :/ I wonder if they will give me feedback on my application, why I didn’t get accepted and how I can strengthen it.
