I’d imagine that given their new global ranking, NUS will be keen on pulling their stats up..

NUS has always been very competitive for applicants who have less than 700 GMAT. Check out the analysis of NUS acceptance rates which we had carried out few years back. https://gmatclub.com/forum/calling-all- ... l#p1726278

I just mailed NUS regarding my application status.
This is the automatic reply I got.
Need an update on your application status?
If you have completed your online application, but noticed that your document submission status is not correctly reflected on your application, please do not be concerned. We are focused on reviewing applications as quickly as we can, hence we are unable to verify and update the status at this point. We will reach out to you if additional documents are needed.
For those who have applied in Round 1, you should hear back from our office latest by 20th March.

Don't give up hopes yet. They've a rolling application cycle so we shouldn't give up till 31st March.
