I just received an interview invite!
Congrats! What day are you interviewing on?

Interviewing 11/24 as my Booth interview is the weekend before and can't get out of work during the week until that Monday. 8-)

While anxiously wating for a notification from Stern, I have one question: will the interview invite go out before the December 4th notification date? or we will get interview invite, ding and WL on the same day? A bit confused here... Thanks!! :)

I can read in their website "BY the deadline". So I hope that we'll hear from NYU before that due.

Thanks for your clarification. Do we get the interview invite before 12/15 and then final decision by the 12/15?

I read on the website. By 12/15 we'll receive one of these three updates: invitation to interview, waitlist offer or denial of admission. Then, in case, you'll schedule your interview and
3 weeks after the interview they'll release their decision. :-D

Did they send you an email or call you to notify you of the interview invitation?

Did they send you an email or call you to notify you of the interview invitation?

Got an email with subject "NYU Stern Invitation to Interview" and the following:

Quote:
Dear Mr. blah:

The Admissions Committee has completed an initial review of your
application and is pleased to invite you to interview.

The interview gives us the chance to get to know you better and is an
important part of our decision making process. It also gives you the
opportunity to ask any questions you have about our program and to
experience our community.

We invite you to schedule your interview online via our Interview
Scheduling Website at https://applicant.stern.nyu.edu/interviews. Your
password for accessing this site is "Columbia Sucks!".

The interview itself lasts approximately 30 minutes. We encourage you to
participate in other available activities on your interview day, which
are listed on the Interview Scheduling Website. Information sessions,
which include a tour of the Henry Kaufman Management Center, do not
require registration. Please visit our website for the information
session schedule.

You must bring your official transcript(s) and any other required
materials (such as proof of degree conferral(s), translation(s), etc.,
if applicable) to your interview. Carefully review our official
transcript requirements online
(https://www.stern.nyu.edu/admissions/transcripts) before scheduling your
interview. Failure to bring your official transcript(s) or any other
required materials to your interview will result in a delay of your
final decision.

You may schedule your interview at your convenience, but you must
respond to this invitation within two weeks of the date of this email.
If you need assistance in scheduling your interview, you may reply to
this email or call us at (212) 998-0626.

Thank you for your continued interest in NYU Stern. We look forward to
meeting you.

Sincerely,

Isser Gallogly
Assistant Dean, MBA Admissions

I need help from R1 applicants and current students..

For essay 1, do you people feel its important to answer in the same order in which the three questions have been put up? I have taken the liberty of answering my post MBA goals first and then delve into my fit at Stern!

Please give your opinions!!

The only thing that sucks about applying R1 is that when we go to plan a visit for an interview, chances are we'll miss sitting in on a class. Since I'm located in California, I have to use my travel time wisely. I'm looking at the calendar and if I don't find out until the 15th I won't even be around for a campus tour/information session.

Hi guys!
Quick question: On the status check page, do you guys see anything between these 2 sentences:
"You can check the status of your application online at any time."
and
"It is your responsibility to notify NYU Stern of any changes to your contact information. Updates must be made through this Application Status Check Website."

Shouldn't it at least show if my application is complete/pending review or any other status??
Thanks!

I honestly don't think it matters in what order you answer the questions, as long as you make sure to cover each. I would suggest you doing what makes sense from a flow perspective in your response.
