Well, they have Damodaran. That's about it, though.
For those who aren't interested in Finance, that's a weak selling point ;)

Well if you're not into finance, aren't they like super well known for luxury retail or marketing or something? I honestly don't know because I'm in finance.

They are, and that's what sold me on Stern. Although CBS is catching up fast; they invite many more industry speakers than Stern.

That's why I applied to Stern and not CBS. Also, I think Stern, and NYU in general, has a more collaborative vibe, which I really appreciate than CBS.

I agree 100%, Although I applied to both schools, the atmosphere at NYU was phenomenally better than at Columbia. I visited both schools many times and have been to many events.

Now - some of you may discount the "collaborative atmosphere" hoopla but its got to be worth something. Perhaps I just had bad experiences - or people just didn't like my face - but at Columbia people were very stern (pun intended) and sometimes blatantly rude.

Stern is a great school and you'd be lucky to gain acceptance.

As I am from NYC, I also consider Stern to be in a much better location than Columbia. Its more New York than Columbia (I'm sure I will get some slack for saying that.)

I don't think anyone who's spent substantial time in New York would disagree with you there :)

Manhattan is my dream (however cheesy that sounds), so Stern definitely has the best possible location.

I think because we are still far from interview invite deadline. I guess that when we'll see the first invites the forum
start to thrive. :)

Yep, we're all waiting for the interview invite to come along. Sucks that it's so damn late.

That, and the fact that, fortunately, the NYU application is pretty straight-forward, so people don't have a lot of questions.

If we're lucky, we should have some news in 2.5-3 weeks.
