Same here, submitted on 14th Jan and received my password on 20 Jan. Makes me think there is not much of a pattern to decode here. Also a poster reported receiving an invite yesterday (Tue 2/17). So doesn't harm to stay positive. :)

Submitted my application on 13th Jan and received the password on 21st Jan. Nothing out of the ordinary appearing on my status check page. Anyone else still waiting for their result? Does this mean it's a ding?

I'm in the same boat as you're in. I've heard Stern interviews until late though. So there still may be a chance.

I wouldn't stress too much (easier said than done). Stern took almost 3 months to respond to me - I applied on 14 Nov and was invited for an interview on 6 Feb.

My interviewer didn't reply to my thanks letter...Is it a negative signal? I'm freaking out.

I love how people are going mad at this point, myself included. No I don't think it is a negative signal. They are probably super busy this time of year. Don't sweat it. I say this as I grind the enamel off my teeth and bite my nails to nothing while awaiting the future.

Thanks. Just because I didn't receive the response. I felt that perhaps the interviewer was not interested in me so she didn't even want to reply to me...

I have had 4 interviews so far, all of which that I felt were at least decent. I have only received a response to 1 thank you note. I personally think that, unless you have a followup in your note, there is nothing really to respond to. Reading past anecdotes on the forum, there appears to be no correlation to receiving a response vs. not and acceptances.

Interview invite received.

Submitted 1/15 (R3)
Status Check email 1/30
Interview Invite 2/20

I had a NO in my status for Official GMAT Score Report so I emailed admissions about it on Wednesday. They said they would get back to me by today with a response but then I received the interview invite today. Not sure if there is any correlation but someone else on this board did that and got interview invite two days after. My Official GMAT Score Report is still showing NO but at least I have an interview now!

Congrats on the invite!! I am waiting for mine

Can someone please tell me where do i get to see whether they have received my gmat score report or not. When I login to status check website it just shows that your application is being presented. Is it where a status update will show?

Hi guys! My status on stern's website was changed to currently under review this Monday. But I haven't received any mail ( an invitation I hope) yet. I'm wondering how long it takes for the admission committee to review an applicant's material and make a decision? I know ad com of Tuck only took 5 days to complete this process.

I applied on 1/15 and received confirmation emails on 1/30 and 2/6 and only received my interview invitation yesterday (2/20), so I guess it could take a while.

My interview was actually really short, which kind of freaked me out at the time (20/25min?) But I think that in terms of the questions that were asked of me, they were all really straight forward. If you do everything you should be doing for every school interview you have, then you will definitely be well prepared. (why mba, why now, why stern, what will get involved with at stern, what will you bring to the community, etc. etc.) Also definitely know why and how you plan on achieving your ST career goal after stern. It should not just be a nice sounding job that you can't explain how you'll get in and utilized stern in the process.

Stern interviews a pretty low % of applicants (they say 20-25% on their own website FAQs) so I think that's why the interview is shorter. They already have whittled down the pool quite a bit.

Edit: yes, also, the notification email and subsequent initial "status check" page does give you a heart attack because it's very bare bones until you get to see your acceptance letter.

Does anyone know when deposits are due for R2 applicants? I can see on other forums that many of those accepted in R2 have since been accepted at CBS, Wharton etc.

I am wondering when they would need to notify NYU by?If they accept a place at another school I am hoping that leaves another 'free' place for people like me who haven't heard back yet? :)
