I already have an MBA from India (IMT Ghaziabad 2015-17),
planning to apply in round 2 at Oxford

Is there a group for people with admits?

I just completed Kira online assessment and I’m freaking out right now. In the written part of the assessment. I had one typo at the end, I wrote aloone instead of alone. (silly mistake I know) But the time stopped before I could make any edits Am I doomed? I know I shouldn’t be stressing over this as theres nothing I can do ow but I can’t stop thinking about it. How important are these assessments? I think I did fine in the video response section. Thank you everyone!

What were the questions asked in both the assessments and what was the timeline of completions for the same?

Not only this will completely ditch ditch your entire application, but you will also be signaled to the Grand MBA Admission Committee, that will forever know of your misspelling mistake and you will prevented to ever applying again to any MBA program. Now you've totally burned your chances for eternity. Oh if only you'd never made that silly mistake!

Jokes apart: relax guys. The admission process is always holistic, and your profile is evaluated on many different aspects. Plus, they know for sure that everyone is stressed during the video process. Breathe, calm down, and go on in your day with a smile

I had done a 4 year degree with MOI in English. But it will be three years by the time I join Oxford, so I think it will not be applicable right? Should I still upload and try? Also is anyone aware what king of letter is expected for a professional experience waiver? Do I need like an official one coming from an HR? Or I can write about my experiences?

Hi, I got the admit in R1 - and trust me, I did not have a very smooth KIRA experience, in fact - I am convinced I did not do a very good job on the written question. They look at the application, ALOT more holistically than you would imagine, and KIRA assessment plays just a part in the whole process - they only want to know you a little bit better through these videos, that's about it. So I don't think you need to worry about anything

Hey folks, I hope everyone’s college application phase is going well. I was researching about Oxford for MBA and have a few questions. Can someone please help?

Context about me:
I am a software engineer from India with 3.5 years of total experience. I have worked for close to two years in Cisco AppDynamics and then the next 1.5 years at a leading fintech startup in India (unicorn) on a 0 - 1 hotel booking platform. I have got a 730 gmat and have good academics record. My long term aspirations is to be a tech entrepreneur, and short term is to get into product management. I also want to come back to India asap after studies.

1. Is TOEFL or any english test mandatory for Indians ? I have heard that for us a lot of application doesn’t require that.
2. Is Oxford good for product management or tech in general? I have heard that it doesnt have a reputation for tech.
3. Is my experience of 3.5 years (4 years at the time of admission) decent for admission? I have been told by a consultant that I may struggle to find jobs as the experience is less and have a core IT profile.

KIRA is only there to assess your communication and language competency, do not lose sleep on it
