Is there anyway to access the material you submitted to Ross? I keep on getting an error message as if I am trying to resubmit an application?

Don't go to "Online Application to the Ross School of Business" listed underneath that is "Review your Activity." That is where you want to check.

Just a note to everyone not to forget to bring some picture ID with you when you go to interview. I've checked all my email correspondence from Ross, and none of the emails mentioned anything about bringing a picture ID. But the first question my interviewer asked was to see my ID. It caught me off guard cause I didn't have one on me that day! I don't think it affected my results...he said it was the first year Ross is requiring this and a couple other people have been caught off guard as well. But it did mean for the first couple minutes of the interview I was a bit more nervous than usual. I just emailed a copy of my passport to my interviewer as soon as I got home. Best of luck everyone.

Strange. I wasn't asked to show my ID.

You should be carrying a photo-id and copy of your resume.
Also in my case, the interviewer was taking lots of notes during the interview.

Just noticed that lot many more people have been invited for interview in the 2nd wave or am I incorrect?

Guys -- Did any one of you interview for Tauber? How different/similar it is to the Ross interview? Also can any of current students shed light into the process of selection to Tauber?

Does the candidate has to be first selected by Ross and then Tauber evaluates the candidacy? Or will Tauber make any recommendations to the adcom based on my Tauber interview?

Same experience here. My interviewer was, for the most part, looking at his sheet of paper and taking notes during our interview.

Prior to the 11/14 interview invite d-day, 24 out of 76 people (32%) had been either invited or interviewed. Three days later, the number has increased to 34 out of 79 (43%). I suppose a number of people have not updated their profiles, as there is no way that the interview invite rate can be below 50% this year considering the acceptance rate last year was 32%.

Is this based on some numbers? Or are you just looking at the comments where people said they were invited for interview?

Hi All,

I just got an invite to the super Saturday on 12/3, however I was planning on doing an off campus interview because I'm currently strapped for cash and vacation days. I did an official visit in September so i thought that would be sufficient. Do you think it's going to negatively impact me not to go to the super Saturday or do an on campus interview?

Thanks!

From what I recall from speaking to alumni at an MBA fair in New York, they just really want you to visit campus and make sure that you like it, so they offer Super Saturday as an easy option. If you've already visited, (and they have a record of it), I think it's fair for you to do an interview off campus.

the interview invite email specifically said that it won't hurt you if you can't make it...that would be really unfair. i think it's fine for you to off-campus, especially since you've already been.

I think its Ross first then tauber but that is my guess. Ross is the school that contains tauber so you need to get into Ross. From what I've heard, Tauber interview is not as stressful as Ross but I really don't know.

I am interviewing for Both on the 6th, I will let you know if you are after? When are you interviewing?

I thought I'd share my experiences with Out for Business, the LGBT Club at Ross.

About 3 weeks ago, I got an e-mail from a Ross 1st Year who is on the club's recruiting committee. I'd self-identified as LGBT in the application, and they were reaching out to all students who had done so to see if there were any questions they could answer about the Ross experience in general, or specifically for gay students.

When he found out that I'd received an invite to Super Saturday, he was very excited, and set up some time to chat with me about the interview process, and answer any other questions about admissions, his experience, and the culture at Ross. It was all non-evaluative, (had no bearing on whether I get in or not), and it was clear that this was club-driven, not adcom-driven.

That said, I really appreciated having someone from the school, even non-adcom, reach out to me and engage me like that. I have spoken to folks from the LGBT clubs at all of my other schools, and they've been very nice, dynamic, and helpful, but none of the other schools have had proactive outreach like Ross.

Gotta say it was a huge plus for them.

that's great!
i've been emailing so many students/schools and i have to say that ross students (and even the administration) are the friendliest and most helpful that i've encountered.

i've contacted some students to meet up with before super interview since i'm coming in earlier. please do share whatever you learn about the process!

it seems that the interviews are conducted by alum (off-campus) or current students (on-campus), i wonder if that's how super interview saturday will be too? it's a little intimidating to be part of a "mass" interview i think.

I agree with both accounts that Ross students are very approachable and always willing to go out of their way to entertain prospective students.

I emailed and then spoke with six current students (on the phone for over half an hour each) before I flew to Ann Arbor for the Ross Preview Day in September. When I informed them that I would be visiting campus, all of them volunteered to meet with me so that they could answer any other questions that I had for them.

Unfortunately, due to schedule conflicts and the horrible cell reception on the lower level of the building, I was only able to meet with three of them. One of them even gave me a personal tour of the building, introduced me to some of his classmates, and then invited me to join them at the Bus (where the MBA students tailgate before the football games) the following day.

Ross students/alums take care of their own, and as far as they are concerned, prospective students are to be treated like family as well.
