Yeah I was interviewed last time (opted for on campus), wait-listed and eventually dinged.

I guess I'll go with off-campus this time. Anybody interviewing in the LA area next week?

Thanks!

I have scheduled my interview in Bangalore, India. Anybody else interviewing in Bangalore?
Hey aim760, I too have scheduled my interview in Bangalore. However, there seems to be some issue with the slot I have communicated as preferred. Ad com reverted with a totally different slot on my preferred day; so I wrote back to them and they said three days ago that they have passed on my message to the alum who should be writing back to me soon. No response yet though.

When are you interviewing? Let me know if you would want to connect on the phone and I will PM you.

I had an interview with an alumni last week. She was very nice and thoughtful. She took a lot of time to answer my questions. Her questions were pretty basic. Tell me your story, why an mba, why now, why Ross.

I've also had great experiences with current students and alumni. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. Its been really wonderful.

I know how it feels. Darden and Yale have maintained silence w.r.t. my candidature and it does not feel great really.

Hello Folks.. need some urgent help!!

I had applied to Ross in R1 and got an email end of October asking for an additional document to complete my application. I sent in the additional document and called the school the next day to confirm that they have received the document. I did not receive the interview invite in the second wave and I was dissapointed but moved on. Today I get an email from the school saying that my application has been moved to R2 because I did not submit the additional document on time.

Not sure what is going on. I tried calling the school and they are asking me to reply to the email I got and wait. I have no idea what is going on!!

I had a similar experience except I had already interviewed when I was informed that they were missing one of my recommendations. Based on my experience (and I'm not sure if you have actually already done this), they respond quicker when the subject of your email includes your application ID. It is easier for them to locate your application when they have your ID because they would know to which particular admissions representative to forward your email.

Good luck!

Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum.. :-)
I am visiting Ross for the Super Saturday on December 3 and am very excited to meet other GMAT Clubbers in person... Do PM me if you feel the same way, and we can decide on a place/time to meet up then!

Good luck to everyone!

HI everyone,

I am applying to Ross in R2 and have contacted several current and prospective students to learn more about the school. I was contemplating whether to visit school prior to submitting the application. I have already decided to apply Ross, so the visit won't add anything on that front.
If invited for interview, i will of-course visit on campus, but if I portray through my essays that I have done enough research on Ross and demonstrate a fit, does it hurt our chances if we don't make a visit prior to application submission?

Thanks.

From what I hear, Ross takes the campus visit VERY seriously. If you're concerned about cost, wait until you get an interview and then see if you can swing the trip at that point. I've had multiple current students and alumni tell me that this is an actual criteria point that they look at. They want to make sure you're into the idea of living in Ann Arbor for 2 years.

If you will visit if you're invited to interview, you might as well visit before the applying and doing the interview on the phone. I say that because if you visit it will help you with why ross. A lot of why I like ross, like the people, you will only see in person.

I've just been admitted to UMich's summer law start program and a lot of my family/friends have been urging me to consider a JD/MBA. Does anyone know if admitted law summer starters can still apply for a JD/MBA? Ross' website lists a sample schedule of classes but it seems to line up only with fall starters. Anyone have experience/heard of friends who have done summer start at the law school and still pursue a JD/MBA at Mich?

You should ask the school. Ross has a lot of dual degrees and for most of the programs you typically do a full year at the other school then full second year at Ross or vice versa and then in later years you do mixed coursework. I know that's how one of my classmates MD/MBA does it.
