Does anybody have an idea of what the Ross acceptance rate for those invited to interview is? I know for some schools its pretty low,...like 35%.

I was invited to interview,..just wanted see how good of a sign that was or if Ross is liberal with their number of invites.

Last year it was 64%. :-D 32% acceptance rate divided by 50% interview rate (according to BusinessWeek).

Wow,..pretty good odds.

You have to take note of the fact that 131 of the waitlisted applicants were accepted last year, which means only 806 of the 937 accepted applicants were accepted without spending time on the waitlist. 806 is 28% of the total number of 2,929 applicants; therefore, if you were looking for the percentage of those who were immediately accepted after their interviews, it is 56%.

It is also worth noting that between the 806 immediate-accepts and the 472 waitlisted applicants, 87% of those who were interviewed were either accepted or waitlisted. In all honesty, I think it is really 100% as the 187 people who were neither waitlisted nor accepted probably declined the waitlist offer as they had already gotten accepted to their top/match schools.

Finally, 28% of the waitlisted applicants eventually got the call from AdCom last year. And so, the odds of getting accepted are still pretty good even with the ridiculously high number of waitlisted applicants.

It was written in the acceptance email (or somewhere else - don't remember) that the package will be received by the end of month. As I understand, they are dhl-ing or fedex-ing, tnt-ing or ups-ing it (whatever you like :) ) so once sent, they'll provide you with a tracking number.

Hi,
Did anyone in London got an interview call? R2 applicants? Does anyone know for international candidates its generally a phone interview or a campus interview?

Thanks

The two primary options will be for an on campus interview or an interview with an alumni in your area. They will allow phone interviews if you have some special circumstance, i.e. no alumni in your area. However, since you are in London that shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks...I am a R2 applicant ...yet to receive an invite :(

as I recall, in Europe there were options in UK, NL, DE, RU, TR, IT, FR
Phone interview is really a BAD idea.. unless you want to attend other school.

hey guys, I sent a request a week ago to my interviewer and I haven't heard anything from either the interviewer or the adcom. Should I contact the adcom? And will the interviewer contact me directly once he/she gets my request or do I have to log onto the interview scheduling site to find out his/her response?

Can you pl elaborate how did you get the no of 806 applicants accepted directly when there are only 501 seats.

According to Business Week, 937 were accepted last year, with 131 of those getting accepted off of the waitlist. The 806 number refers to the number of people who were accepted without having to spend time on the waitlist. 501 is the number of accepted students who actually matriculated, giving Ross a 53.47% yield.

I interviewed on campus, so I don't know exactly how the alumni-arranged interviews work. But I would say that it's fair to reach out again if you haven't heard back in over a week and a half. I'd reach out to your interviewer again before you reach out to the AdCom, but it's also fair to find out the status from the AdCom if more than 2 weeks have gone by.

Thanks, OhDenny! And one more question.. I just received an email from a Ross student inviting me to the Super Saturday Interview but I am already scheduled for an off campus interview since I am an international applicant from a far far away country and I don't think Super Saturday is a viable option for me. Do I have to reply to the student who emailed me (she sent her email from her personal school account)? or is it just an automatic online invitation that's sent to any random applicant?

Definitely respond. You can also e-mail the AdCom just to be official, but you should absolutely respond to the student herself.

Positive thoughts, no need to blast every thread with a reason for talented and qualified applicants to doubt themselves even more.

LMAO,..thanks for writing my exact thoughts down to the letter.

Seriously PTK,..no offense but your post is like someone trying to sell coffins at a hospital trauma unit.
