First congrats on all who are invited to interview!
Here's my question: is it appropriate to ask Ross adcom the name of my interviewer? I will have my interview on campus and the invite only said it would be a 2nd year student. Would really like to check her or his profile in advance to be better prepared.

No. Why do you need to know?

What percentage of the applicants do you interview in any given year?

I’d say about 40% to 50%. We try to manage that number. Part of the reason we went to interviews by invitation only is that the number of interviews we were conducted started ballooning. People weren’t taken it as seriously and it didn’t make for a quality interview experience for the interviewers, especially our alumni. Time is valuable, and we want to know that the people who are applying are very serious about Ross and very interested in the school. So when I became the director six years ago, we moved to an interview-by-invitation-only process and it has made for a much more positive experience for the interviewers as well as for the interviewees because they then put their head in the game.

From: https://poetsandquants.com/2011/12/15/the-gatekeeper-to-michigans-ross-school-of-business/5/

Based on that and the admit numbers I'd say 60%-80% of those interviewed get admits.

Had interview last night Oct 29th in D.C with former student who graduated in May and now works in the area. She had only seen my resume before last night:
Very conversational...we interrupted each other many times to both clarify and ask questions.

1) Walk me through from undergrad till now
2) Managing a team- what is your leadership style
**those two questions took a lot of time
3) is there anything you want to talk about (she mentioned that she hated preparing for an interview and then not be able to talk about certain things that she preped for)
4) then opened it up for questions
We had a lot in common so the 1st two questions took up over 30 minutes. Total interview 45ish minutes.

Cheers

On the next page of that article Soojin estimates that number at 70%. So for those who don't want to click the link or are too lazy, 40 to 50% get interview invites, and of those about 70% are accepted into the program.

If anyone who wanted to schedule an on campus interview but the spots were filled, call the admissions office because some dates opened up. She told me that Friday, November 15th, and November 24th were available.

I am from India. Are any other applicants from India still waiting for the interview call or have already received the call?

I'll be interviewing on the 24th. Do you plan on arriving in Ann Arbor the day before?

All the interview invites for R1 were sent in mid-october. Ross doesn't do rolling invites. I think you wait until December to see if they move you to the R2 on the waitlist or release you with a Ding. Sorry!

(there is post from Soojin detailing the above on the website)

For all the Bangalore GMAT aspirants, Top one percent GMAT by Sandeep Gupta is starting its new batch. Sandeep Gupta is Asia's best GMAT teacher. He trains GMAT aspirants for 99th percentile. The institute guarantees a 760, if you promise to give them 360 hours.
All my GMAT friends, you should definitely try out the online or classroom course

360?!? Small price to pay for perfection I guess

Just a Quick Interview Debrief for those who are about to be interviewed:

Interview was extremely conversational and it was conducted by 2nd year student who luckily had similar career goals as I have.

Points of Discussion:
(It was naturally a very resume driven conversation since they only have our resumes)

Walk me through your resume..
A teamwork experience.. ( Primarily from resume too)
Difficult person in a team experience and how you reacted or managed?
How would your boss describe you ( I stressed for more bad qualities than good !! :D )
Two experiences from my resume were discussed ( Make sure you know your resume)
WHY MBA? WHY ROSS? CAREER GOALS?

Last 5 minutes were given to ask questions and I asked about consulting and social life at Ross.

Irrespective of the outcome, please dont stress out as this one will be extremely conversational. Try to enjoy it ! Smile ! the person opposite you was at your place an year ago so he understands what you are going through!!

Best of Luck to all of us !!
