Anytime. :)

Looks like both of us have our one foot in Chicago and are looking to take a mighty leap towards the palm trees with the other!

Just found out I'm getting promoted next month--and it's a pretty big promotion. I applied to GSB in R2. Anyone know where GSB stands on updating adcoms on circumstances such as mine? Thanks in advance for your help.

I was asking if they have a strict "no more information after submission"policy like Wharton or HBS. Or is it OK to let them know of career developments (i.e CBS is pretty open for updates in applicant's professional developments) etc. Thanks.

Same here submitted. only 11 days since the deadline. Are they really that fast? When did the round one invites start going out?

no, that was a crappy calculation :/

but it should be sometime this week.

this yr is weird because there are only 11 weeks till notification. subtracting 2 at the start and 1 at the end leaves 8 invite weeks, making the process slightly less painful for us.

For round 1 Deadline was Oct 12,
invites started around Nov 17 and went up to Dec 31 (as per a round 1 applicant's post)
*Round 1 had to deal with the thanksgiving holiday,Christmas and new years.

Wow so we're looking at about 3 more weeks before invites start to go out. With a $265 application fee, you'd think they could work a little quicker ;)

Here's a good business idea for bschools - "expedited decisions". For $350 more, they give you an expedited decision on your application. Can you imagine? They'd rake in the dough.

If the R1 decision day was Dec. 14 how did interview invites go out until Dec. 31? Do you mean that the last interview invitation came on Nov. 30?

We can safely expect a bulk of the invites to go out in the next 5-10 days. They need to release the decisions by the 16th (if I remember correctly) and they need at least 2-3 weeks to collate all the information and take decisions. This implies that most interviews should have been conducted by the last week of November; which further implies that most invites need to go out in the 2nd-3rd week of December so applicants can schedule interviews within 2 weeks. Ergo, bulk invites go out this week and next.

Of course, the tragedy with Stanford is that even if you don't get invited by 3rd week of November, you will still be hanging on with a sliver of hope till 1st week of December!

Never have I realized the extent of the importance of closure as now.

This post earlier on in the thread is where I got the information from. I guess one of the 'Decembers' was supposed to be a 'November'... sorry about that
