I am not an expert, but I do not think increasing your GMAT would give you significantly better advantages. You have what seems to be a good profile, even if the WE is not as glamarous it is still great. I think you should focus on developing a good essay

Good Day everyone, I am Sodiq from Lagos, Nigeria. I am currently writing my application for R2. I really need someone to help me evaluate the strength of my application as I am still contemplating on whether or not to give Stanford a shot. Stat: GMAT 730 ((Q50,V39. IR 8). Work experience: Big 4 accounting (2 yrs), start up(2 years), Teaching (1 yr). Extra curricular: National round finalist, Business case competition (Led the team), I have also led various social projects. Let me also point it out that I am a 1st generational graduate with a compelling personal stories

Sounds very solid, and your GMAT is absolutely fine. Given that you are underrepresented it could be even lower. Definitely apply.

Wholeheartedly agree that you should turn your attention to other elements of the application. Start brainstorming stories to share in your recommendations, the main essay, start researching why Stanford (talking to people - doing informational interviews), think about the background essay and the three impact essays. It’s a lot of work honestly. This plus the application boxes, CV. And you want to give yourself the opportunity to think about things deeply and over time. I would say one of the biggest mistakes people make is to overindex on the GMAT when the incremental improvement is nowhere near what it could be should you invest your wholehearted effort into the application quality.

They can’t be reading the applications really carefully as they got 2-3k apps so it can be a real gamble of having your profile chosen for an interview … congrats on getting it!

Apart from actually submitting an application, I don’t think there is much you can do except make sure your essays are top notch.

Quick question about the GSB application and test score reporting:

I manually reported my test score in the application and also sent my official score to the GSB many weeks before the deadline. Should my Application Status Portal indicate anywhere that my official score has been received? For example, the portal indicates that recommendations and transcripts have been received but does not mention official test scores.

It is an independent probability unless Stanford knows the admission result of HBS. Your probability of getting an interview didn't change due to HBS result in anyway.

You mean if you are a good fit for any school like UCLA, HBS won’t admit you? Or you mean good fit for Stanford?
