It is so heart-wrenching to wait. This is the most vulnerable app I wrote and I feel like if I don't get an interview invite it is a rejection of me personally. I mean I'll survive but it will suck so much.

Hi, Profile - GMAT 750, F, international student. 3 years in a top global bank last role as a PM. Then transitioned to a fintech startup with a social impact ethos co-founded by a GSB alum. Product role here for ~2 years with an LOR from said alum founder. I applied R1 and am yet to hear back. Just wanted to know if most of you have already heard back or if there’s still a chance. Starting to get really nervous!

Yes. In every situation where someone has used a gmail address and there are circumstances such as yours, it was an immediate and swift rejection. 🙄

I dont know how well you and your recommenders executed the application but your profile sounds very competitive. If it doesn't work out though please know this cycle is a massacre. It's just brutal and not a reflection upon your worth in any way.

I totally understand your feelings but if you are dinged it's very unlikely that it's because your main essay was too vulnerable or falls short or something like that. There are so so many pieces to the picture. I would say that having a compelling essay is necessary but not sufficient. Rather than thinking about this as something you wrote specifically for Stanford consider that it's content you've created for yourself that you might look to repurpose. My client who applied to GSB found it pretty easy to edit her WMM essay to repurpose for Yale and it still fits the prompt. Also if you end up at Duke its very unlikely you will spend time worrying about not being at Stanford (unless you are going for entrepreneurship). It also has a terrific community.

The several applicants from my country received interview invite in the same week. But I also heard from previous years that same region may receive 2-3 batches of interview invites (i.e. a few people in mid Oct, another batch in early Nov, and another batch in mid Nov) - my bold guess
