Are GSB interview invites rolled out chronologically (who submits first, is invited first) ?
I am getting anxious now (Haha). I just saw couple of more people, who submitted after me, getting interview invites already.
I am from India, and I submitted my application on 5th January. I have not heard back anything. My portal says "Under Review".
Any ex-GSB-adCom member who can share some light on behind the scenes of GSB admissions. Thanks in advance

Hey
karanw98 ! Stanford does not issue interview invitations based on the order of application submission. Instead, the adcom reviews all applications thoroughly, and interview invitations are extended on a rolling basis throughout the evaluation period. This means that the timing of an interview invite is not necessarily indicative of an applicant's admission prospects.
Looking at the previous trends, for R2, interview invites shall typically be sent out till mid-March. Given that you submitted your application on 5th Jan and your portal status is "Under Review," it's important to remain patient, as the process is ongoing. The variability in invitation timing can be attributed to the comprehensive nature of the review process, which involves multiple evaluators and stages.
It's also worth noting that the order in which interview invites are sent does not reflect the strength or priority of an application. So, it should not be a cause for concern.
On the basis of general understanding the admissions process is holistic and meticulous, ensuring that each application receives a fair and thorough evaluation.
All the very best everyone : )
