Done with the interview yesterday. Was interviewed by Gabriel. He mentioned that he has gone through my application.

Background: I am an Indian applicant with over 3 years of experience spread across Social and IT Sector. GMAT Score - 700 (Q 48 V 38).

The interview was more of a conversation with the following questions:

1) Tell me about your background apart from your professional background.
2) Why I chose my majors?
3) Why I chose the particular school for my under-graduation?
4) Discussed at length about the internships I did during under-graduation and how I got placed in the company while at college.
5) The thought process behind the choices (in terms of working in different organizations) I made after graduation.
6) Nature of current work.
7) Leadership positions held.
8) Issues faced while interacting with foreign clients.
9) Career goals.
10) How MBA will help me achieve those goals?
11) What I am looking for in the MBA program?
12) Any questions for me?

Interview lasted well over 45 minutes. Hoping for the best!

Takeaway : Be positive and be yourself.

Hi,

I had my interview on 2nd Nov and I was told I will be informed about the decision in a week or maximum 2 weeks but haven't heard from them till now? Should I be worried? Does this mean I am rejected?

Patti Cudney was the interviwer.
She started of with tell me something about yourself other than your professional background.
She didnt ask any question related to my undergraduation as I didnt speak about my undergrad degree(first bluder).
Then she asked Why do you want to get an MBA?(Answered).
She then went on to ask about my professional career so far.(Answered)
She then threw a slew of questions at me such as-
If asked your peers what would they say about your strengths and weaknesses?
What is your leadership style?
What does professional success means to you?
Why Mays?
Which companies are you targeting post graduation?
How do you think career management centre help you?(stumped)
I was kind of nervours during he interview and I think I blew my chances of getting in!

I had the exact same interview pretty much. Patti was very efficient with the interview, which I appreciate since I had an interview yesterday with another school that was supposed to be 30 minutes but lasted more than an hour! But she keeps a pretty straight face, so that can throw you off.

The interview is only a part of the process, wait for the results and stay positive!

Thanks for the support Cagatay2015. But I myself was not satisfied with the interview so let's see. She told me that normally they take around 2 to 3 weeks time to release the decision but since they have a few holidays coming up so it might take a bit longer than usual! I know I mean she was too rigid at least in her appearance which really spooked me a bit!

My recommender's finally submitted their letters, Im registered to take the GMAT next week (12/5) and then my applications will be submitted! Man i am excited! I really hope I get into Mays!
