I know Mays sends a lot of students to work in the Energy industry, is anyone here NOT wanting to into energy? Is looking into a different industry a point of consideration for the admissions officers?

Mays is not just about preparing students for the oil and gas industry. As long as you can make a clear link between your future goals and current mission, it shouldn't matter.

Hi, I didn't receive an interview invite yet and today I got a decision that I have been wait-listed. Can someone tell me what would happen if I clear the waitlist? Will I then be interviewed or directly be admitted?

Hi guys,

Had my interview yesterday with Patty. It went for about 35 mins.It was horrible for me. I felt that I could not convey myself better. Was kinda nervous the whole time. Couldn't sleep yesterday night.

If there is any correlation between the interview time and P(being selected), then that definitely doesn't work out in my favor!

I hope I am not staring at a rejection!

This might be a silly question but they don't pay for travel to an interview do they?

I did mention earlier that they are probably interviewing almost everyone. And no such thing as a silly question, time to install skype! (they do pay 200$ though for campus visits I believe, if you are flying there)

I had my interview with Patti today. Basically the same set of questions that everyone else has already mentioned, but she did say they were going to try and have an admission decision back to me before Christmas next week! I love how fast Mays works!

I received an email indicating I have been placed on the Waiting list this morning. Can anyone clarify what that means exactly? Does it just mean if they don't find other candidates they like they fill it with people from the wait list? Anyone have any idea what percentage of wait listed applicants end up getting admitted?

Hi Guys,

I have submitted my application for R3.

With respect to the GMAT score, I have uploaded the official student copy. Do I need to send the scores to the institute for them to review my application?

Or

Can I send it after in case I get an admit?

PS - Not able to find information from https://mays.tamu.edu/full-time-mba/application-process/ on whether the official scores are to be sent directly to the college for the adcom to begin reviewing the application?

Hello Guys,

I have submitted my application for MAYS business school on 27 Dec, 2015. (14 days back).

I have seen earlier that MAYS has a rolling admission and sometimes people got their interview invites the next day after submission.

Though only 2 weeks have elapsed since the time I have submitted my application, I was trying to understand if not hearing anything for 2 weeks qualifies as a ding.

Also briefly my profile -

GMAT - 680 - 83% (Q48 - 73%, V35 - 76%), AWA - 5.5 (81%), IR - 3 (25%)
Acads - X- 74.2%, X11 - 87.3%, Btech (IT) - 68.4%
Moderate extra curiculars

Work-ex - 8.5 yrs (Oracle)

Do I at least stand a chance to get an interview invite?
