Calling all the Johnson (Cornell) Waitlist 2013

Got admitted from the waitlist yesterday. I was a R3 applicant. When I found out I was on the waitlist I wrote a page long letter graciously accepting their additional consideration and then addressed two areas I knew I was weak in. First was my goals. I laid it out exactly how it should have been the first time and let them know that while I have goals in mind, I open to other areas of work when I graduate. Secondly, I emphasized some of my work experience. I'm a CPA, so I really emphasized my experience managing teams located in India, rather than the fact I know my debits and credits. Also, I let them know that if I'm offered a position, I WILL ACCEPT IT!

Has any Indian got accepted off the waitlist? I believe this year many Indians were wailisted...

Got accepted off from WL yesterday. R2 international applicant.

I withdrew my app today. Was WLed from R1 (from India).

Very few Indians are getting accepted!

Is this true - I have not come across any who got accepted off the waitlist...

I haven't come across any as well. You can search their calss of 2015 page on FB & will be able to find a few Indians but itseems some of them are really US residents. I think 2-3 indians are there, but I hope there will be more.

I got off the WL of Kellogg and will withdraw the Johnson's WL. Good luck, everyone.

Hey everyone, some unofficial news... I was at a Johnson event last night, and they mentioned that the class has around 275 in it right now(deposits paid). So I'd assume more movement wouldn't happen until the next deposit deadline, or people withdrawing for other schools. The next deadline I know of (for R1 admits at least) is June 3rd. I'd assume we'll see a few people drop off at that point, so they'd start bringing in some people off the WL in early to mid June.

Also, I can speak for at least a few people I know of either considering other offers and/or waiting to hear back from WLs other places, so even after that June date, we may see some additional movement.

Good luck, don't lose hope. It seems like with the increased number of apps this year things were a bit more competitive, but Johnson was able to really put together an impressive class. Hope to see some of you there!

Edit: It sounds like there's a R3 deposit on May 21st, so maybe after that too? I'll still say early to mid June though

I have also attended last night's reception and I met a few people who are on waitlist on other schools. And it was just out of only 7-8 people I spoke to.. So out of 275 there must be more! I bet the next big movement will happen after 6/3. Also Christine said that the average GMAT score is about 695 now for this incoming class and they might want to raise it to at least 700... So if you want an edge and feel like you can improve your score def take GMAT again:)

The dates are correct. May 21st and June 3rd.

There is a couple who are on Booth's waitlist. They might both attend if admitted.
