I was invited to video interview last week (completed the questions last night). That was an interesting experience, I did not feel that my responses were even close to fleshed out enough.

Just received an invite to their on-campus interview so apparently something went right.

Thank you so much for sharing them him1985 The questions look quite standard. How long did your interview went ? Any behavioural questions ? Or curve balls?

Yeah questions were standard. Interview went for 20-25 min. I think Challenging situation/conflict was only behavioral ques.

I had similar questions as well.

I actually wasn't asked to walk us through your resume and something about my resume made him remember my essay/profile.
Why UC Davis (other than location)
What would you contribute to the community/ Class
What would my bosses say is my greatest Weakness
Questions

I didn't really time the interview, but I'm assuming it was about 25 minutes or so.

It's a bit strange yes, but there are some strange parts to both reviews. First thing of note is that this thread is from 2013 so there have been several years to change things even if they were true.

The first comment (brighter) appears to have dropped out with a friend after the first few weeks and didn't seem to have a full grasp of options.
The other (jucdgs) is based on an undergrads's perspective and seems to have no bearing on the MBA program. I've seen this same review copy-pasted across multiple sites word for word.

I've taken them both with a grain of salt. Talking to actual current students and alumni rather than rely on online reviews is a much better way to find out information.

true, that makes sense. But, the note on the graduate school was sort of demeaning. Well, we'll have to accept that it's a cow town so there is some truth in those statements. Having said that, I still love the school.

I'd say there is a huge difference between the traditional "cow town" of middle US and Davis. Davis itself does seem to be a bit quieter than many others (Irvine is basically in LA), but is very accessible to larger cities. Davis is quite close to Sacramento (<20 min drive), Napa Valley(~1 hour 30), and the Bay area (~1 hour 30 drive to downtown SF).

It's quite easy to get to a more populated area really quickly if you want to, but Davis proper isn't as busy as other options may be.
