I just got a "Thank You" card from my interviewer. Generic "Thank You" card for attending Super Sat.

Just the thank you card signed by the interviewer with the generic message printed on the inside as you mentioned...

I don't think I saw any email confirmations stating that my app is being reviewed...

just got my interview invite this morning. hang in there!

25/M/680/3.45 electrical engg at top public uni/2 years WE at a big 4 consultancy in LA/London and 1 year WE at family manufacturing biz + VC. and im a reapplicant!

now need to figure out whether to interview with alum or fly to LA to interview!

one question : how many of the invitees have submitted the optional essay - i mean the video essay.

did anyone in the forum who did not submit the optional video get an interview call ?

shucks ! i kinda regret not submitting a video essay ! must have really worked against my app :(

anyway fingers crossed, just have to hope for the best !

once again i would like to wish good luck to all who have an invite....would love to see the gmatclub forum having a high number of Anderson admits

I submitted an audio essay and got an interview invite. One of my buddies did not submit anything for the optional essay (there is a reason why it is called optional!) and got an interview invite too. So my two cents is that they extend an invite based on overall merit of the application as opposed to whether one submitted an OPTIONAL essay or not!

BTW, a quick update on my interview: A 2nd year student and an admissions officer interviewed me, and the questions were pretty standard - why MBA, why now, why Anderson, a challenging team experience, so on and so forth, with the exception of one odd ball question from the 2nd year student. Who is one person that we both might know and that you look up to? Overall, I think I did well and will keep my fingers and toes crossed.

you do make sense.......maybe i am quite anxious ! and anxiety has bad side effects :oops:

as i said earlier....i just need to wait and see....and quite an odd ball of a question !! did u get away with an apt reply ?

Because the interviews are conducted on a blind basis, do interviewers go back and read your application post-interview to give more comprehensive feedback, or is it just your resume and the interview that they base their feedback off?

had my interview on Friday...don't think it went too well though :(

I got asked a few questions I wasn't expecting and I think I gave off the impression that I'm not 100% committed to the school. Arrgh...

woomba: I wouldn't make any assumptions about how the interview went. The simple truth is that you never know. I have seen quite a few posts in this forum wherein the interviewees thought that they had terrible interviews, but eventually admitted, some even with scholarships.

BTW, to those who are anxiously waiting for an interview invite, Adcom Director's recent tweets state that the invite rate would pick up in the next few weeks, as some of the adcom members have returned from their recruiting trips. So keep your hopes up!
