I applied through the consortium but signed up for a logon on my own. It shows the same status as everyone else but I did my interview 3/25. I don't know when it changed for me.

Hi guys,

I am an international applicant and had my R2 interview a few days back. I have a doubt here - The deadline for filling 'Need Access' application is 15th April for Round 1 and Round 2 applicants who will be requiring financial aid. Are we supposed to fill it after an admit or can we fill it now itself before the results ? Also does it mean we won't be considered for any scholarships unless we fill it ?
Would be great if someone could clarify.

Thanks !!

Financial Aid Application for Need-Based Grants

Round I and Round II applicants should complete the financial aid application for the need-based grants now. Domestic students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). International students should complete the Need Access Application. For detailed information regarding the application process and deadlines, please visit our website.

So I filled my in - can't hurt.

p.s. how did your interview go? :)

Thanks a lot for the info. I had also created an account with 'Need Access'. Haven't filled yet. It mostly asks about applying for loans. Will do that. Interview went ok. Sort of standard questions only. How was it for you ?

Jebus, finally got an invite. This couldn't have come any later.

I still have not received an interview invitation but i just noticed my status changed... any chance I can still get an interview or is it too late in the game? interested to hear thoughts.

Hey MetabolismMaster,
Did you hear back right on the date given on the Anderson site? Just curious.

Thanks.

Wow. I'm assuming you applied RD1. May I ask why you declined? Was it not your first choice? Did you get any reward money/fellowship? What were your stats and did you interview if you don't mind me asking?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm interrogating, but this is my #1 school and I interviewed last week but haven't heard a word :?

No problem. I decided to attend MIT Sloan. I really liked UCLA, but my post-MBA goal is VC/entrepreneurship in the biotech industry, so overall, MIT Sloan was the best fit. I did get money from UCLA ($60K), and considering I didn't get anything from Sloan, declining the Anderson offer was extremely difficult. BTW, I could give you my stats, but in all honesty, stats are just checkmarks. It's really about the essays, letters, and class diversity, etc. FYI, my scores (GPA and GMAT) were above UCLA's median (3.6+ and 720+).

For those who are interested in a concentration in marketing and brand mgmt, have you heard anything about UCLA's strength in this area? How are the internships and job opportunities?

Thanks, and best of luck to you. Sounds like you're on the right path (picking the right school over the $$$).

I had my interview yesterday and I think it went great. We landed up talking about Anderson for almost an hour and the alum seemed very excited to share his experiences. My father went to Anderson in the 60's so when I mentioned that he seemed genuinely interested ( hope that is a good sign). The only big concern/ question that he had for me was that since I have only 2 years of experience in what ways have I prepared myself for an MBA.. Good thing I had prepared for this question. We then talked a lot about early vs mid-career MBA. I very much enjoyed my interview.

I know that had to have been an incredibly difficult decision. Thanks for the info, and good luck at MIT!
