Do any of the admits mind sharing his or her number of years of work experience upon matriculation? I'm a bit thrown off by the higher than average 6.3 years WE for the 2016 admits.

Foster is a program that I truly would like to apply to in the next 2-4 years, yet I currently have only one year of WE. I'm also taking my GMAT in 2 months and I hate to think the scores would expire before I am accepted.

I will have 7 years WE upon matriculation. I feel as though I am on the older end of the spectrum. Maybe they are counting PT?

I'm a R4 applicant and I haven't heard anything yet except that my application has been moved to review. Last week, they were letting R3 folks know about decisions so I can't imagine they've had much time to review the R4 candidates thoroughly yet. Based on earlier rounds, I'd imagine R4 interview invitations won't be sent until end of this week or end of next week. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything on my end though. Best of luck to you and any other R4 applicants!

Also, congratulations to the many previous applicants who have been accepted already! What exciting news! UW - Foster is such a great school. Have a great first year there if I am unable to join you!

So I just got a f2f interview after being waitlisted for R3. This makes my life so much more complicated.Is it possible to be both happy and frustrated that this is happening? I'm all but set on going to Georgetown, but UW is only 3 hours from where I live, it was my undergrad and it would be so much cheaper to live/attend. I applied because I wanted to go, make no mistake, it's just...I feel so confused now.

A big part of the higher than average WE is that UW is not an I-banking factory (probably due to location). As such, a much smaller portion of the class did 2 or 3 years I-banking or consulting before heading to b-school. They also historically have valued work experience (and leadership experience). The higher average work experience also probably contributes to the relatively high average salaries.

GMAT score is good for five years. Typically, the people who get in with lower levels of work experience are studs at prestigious firms (think I-banks, top consulting firms, F500, hi-tech, etc.). 4 to 6 years of work experience is probably the sweet spot. Gives you enough time to get promoted a couple times.

I couldn't find it in my email. Email whoever you interviewed with regarding the whatsapp group they should be able point you in the right direction. I know there is one, the Chinese applicants are pretty active I think since they can't access Facebook in the mainland.
