Hey sorry if this has already been discussed, but can someone tell me when R2 deposits are due to Wharton?

Enrollment forms and deposit of $2,000 must be received by the MBA Admissions Office by 5 p.m. EST, Friday May 6th, 2011, for all students admitted in Round 2.

Question for those in Wharton/Lauder. Am trying to get an idea of how many people have decided to enroll at Wharton (I am on the WL). Taking a look at facebook groups shows about 600 odd people in Wharton 2013 group and about 130 in the Wharton?Lauder one. My question for those of you in Wharton Lauder are you guys in both or just the Lauder one? Basically wanted to see if the 2 groups have overlap or the total class is closer to 750 rather 600. (I know its nitpicking but I just missed my connecting flight and am stuck at the airport for the next 5 hours)

So most of you are probably more on top of things than me and won't need any notice but just in case I will give everyone the heads up.

The Re Vera Verification deadline is tomorrow (separate from deposit). I thought the admissions office handled this process once you send in the deposit so I never bothered to check what you have to do, but you have to manually download a form, fax it over to Re Vera, then pay a $65 fee on PayPal to Re Vera(on a side note: Why can't Wharton pay for this?)

I don't know why but I assumed this was all done behind the scenes and I was good to go after sending my transcripts and deposit. Luckily I just checked the Welcome website again today and found this.

Anybody else hoping for the slim chance of getting off the waitlist? I'm in at NYU, so I'm not terribly nervous, but Wharton is still my first choice!

Yeah, that's great for them. I'm talking about the person who will get waitlisted again so that someone who has no intention of going to Wharton can stroke their ego by hanging an extra admission letter on their wall. The Ethicist would be disappointed...better to just withdraw your name and give someone the slot who will actually take it.

How does the yield argument make sense? If the HBS admits take themselves off the waitlist, the WL pool adcom has to choose from will become smaller thus increasing WL'ers chances.

you are making a lot of assumptions. what makes you think i will get an admission letter from Wharton? I spent 2 months working on my application (more time than the 3 weeks or so on Harvard) and spent $250, I think I deserve an outcome. Either way, it's my application and like the poster above said, they make more offers than they have seats because they know not everyone will accept their offer. and what makes me have a huge ego. If I said, I was going to Columbia and Columbia was head and shoulders my first choice would I have a big ego?

Nope, no assumptions. You're in at HBS. You're going to HBS. Nothing Wharton can do will get you to go there. Therefore, you shouldn't (potentially) take away a slot from someone else and make them wait for the summer so you can have your "outcome". Has absolutely nothing to do with you choosing HBS over Wharton...just that you're not letting Wharton know that you have no intention of going there even if they admit you off of the waitlist. I, for one, hope your ego takes a nice blow later today.

Well said JMW. I for 1 am glad that someone like formerly wont be on the Wharton campus if I do make it. Last thing I want in a fellow student is to be so self absorbed. Its disgusting
