I thought the facebook group would be a good gauge of how many people have decided to go to wharton but it fluctuates so much I am not sure anymore. I think it was at like 673 a week or so ago and now today is at 655. keeps going up and down

Right now I'm in the midst of Manhattan apt hunting for CBS that I, too, am getting somewhat frustrated about the WL at Wharton. It would make no sense for me to put down a deposit for a place and then hear from the WL. I applied in October and it has been almost a year and still no decision. I really feel for the int'l applicants, too. Anyway just venting.

I perused the Wharton FB group - although it made me feel like a stalker. I did notice at least four admitted students from the same country and of the same gender as me... It's a 6 mill country, so I think the quota there's filled. I guess I'm heading out to my alternative super-duper top school destination, which is pretty awesome and is shaping up nicely.

Ah Wharton... so hard to let you go. Was it that I did not travel to interview in person, and flew into some dude string-lining interviewees and not asking me the three questions? Was it my absent-minded recommendor? Or not applying to Lauder, and wanting to pay you double tuition? My old age? My bad jokes? I hope you don't give me the old "it's not you, it's me" break-up line, when I call you post-waitlist.

I have not heard of anyone getting in from the summer waitlist, but I hope a miracle does happen to someone out there wanting it very badly. Best of luck to everyone and off to a good start this Fall!

this is correct..they do their best to get internationals in as soon as they can. They would hate to loose top talent to Homeland security redtape and delays..

For what its worth, I called the Wharton Adcom out of sheer frustration once I got notification of my Summer WL. status. My question was on the fate of International Applicants given the July 18 final notification date.

They called back a few minutes later and said they would certainly be considering the peculiar circumstances of International Summer Waitlisters in making their admit or ding decisions. So I don't expect any international student will have to wait till July 18 before getting some sort of closure.

I assume there will be at least some priority given to international waitlisters in the admit/ding decisions. :)

there are no quotas... if you are a good fit you will be in..

we have an overwhelming number of Argentinians in our class..much more than you would expect a country of argentina to matter in the global economy.

Guys just checked the facebook group its at like 627! Any idea whats going on? was there some sort of a deadline to register for orientation because thats a huge drop.
