I was invited to interview a couple of weeks ago (seems late), and unfortunately couldn't attend the remaining open on-campus days. I'm in Toronto, so hopefully this isn't viewed too harshly. I will be interviewing via Skype on March 10th. Any advice to boosting my chances in a Skype interview? Thanks!
Hi I'm an intl' applicant and finished my Skype interview on 2/10. My interviewer is a 2nd year student, and the interview was very conversational. The interview started with the questions "walk me through your resume" and then "Why MBA", so I would suggest you prepare these questions well and maybe mention "why now" to the why MBA question so that the interviewer may appreciate more about your motivation to pursue an MBA.
Btw, the other questions are pretty typical, such as "Why Yale", "What will you do if you fail to get in any b-school to get an MBA", "Tell me a time when you took the initiative to do sth (basically an example that can show your leadership)", "anything you want me to tell the admission committee", and "any questions for me", etc.. Hope this will help.
