Not for profit.they used to and I think still do heavily subsidize/provide debt forgiveness for alumni loans that go into non profit work which typically is on the lower end of your "average post mba starting salary".
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Not planning on going into NFP so my knowledge on this is limited.

Yeah I just got the denial as well. Had high hopes too with how the rest of the cycle has been turning out. Oh well, best of luck to the rest of you!

I sense they might be moving away from their 'NFP' reputation - it was all I wrote about lol.

They still subsidize it and there is also still a internship fund to help those students out who decide to take non-profit internships. Yale is very mission-driven and their mission is educating leaders for business and society.
I don't see a reason why they would try to rid themselves from their image; it's one of their differentiating factors.
That is awesome! Maybe I won't have to wait three more weeks to hear something from a school after all! Is it unusual for them to let people know before the final decision date that is listed on their website? Hopefully, some of the schools do it.
Consortium Round 2 Applicant. Waitlisted yesterday. Hoping it has to do with the fact that I ranked SOM second of the two consortium schools that I applied to and not because they view me as a poor candidate...

The ranking has nothing to do with your admission, but more with the fellowships given. A friend of mine got into his 6th ranked school through the Consortium.
Actually I applied to 17 schools. But not in one go. 4 In Round 2 of last year. 1 In the summer 8 in Round 1 of this year 3 In Round 2 of this year 1 In Round 3 of this year.
wow, and i thought I was crazy! That's some determination. Unfortunate you have not had success yet. Did you rush? How many do you have left to hear from?

I don't think i rushed . I guess i felt that in the end if i didn't get in ,it should not be for lack of trying. Apart form Yale , Its Cornell , UNC and UCLA
good luck! hopefully you've interviewed at some of those.

Thanks man A waitlist and an interview so far . Hoping for the best
There are two acceptance reports on clearadmit from TX and GA https://blog.clearadmit.com/livewire/?school=yale-som. Not sure whether these are Consortium or just regular application reports. Does anyone know if it is possible that the school starts releasing final decisions prior to the 27th?
Congratulations! What date did you interview? And any change to your status through the application system?

Thank you! I interviewed on campus on 2/13
Yes, I was notified of the change online in the application system on Friday afternoon after I received the call from the AdCom member in the morning...I wouldn't look too much into it yet....I know a few people who were interviewed that did not hear back yet!

I interviewed at Yale in early Feb. and was dinged on 2/25 via the "status update". Anyone else interview and get dinged already? I was expecting to hear on 3/27
My guess is the dinged status is automatically sent out to everyone who's application status page doesn't show a completed interview. Check if your status page says "Interview Complete" under the recent activities. It may be possible that Yale just never updated your status page and that they are still considering you.
That is not possible because me and some others received an email telling us to "be patient" . Which probably means that our apps have not been evaluated yet.

I also received the "be patient" email. This is the only correspondence I have received from the school since applying in R2. At this point, do you really think our files haven't been evaluated, or we are just on the fast track to a "waitlist w/o interview" decision?

My guess is if we don't hear anything this week then we are either dinged or wl w/o interview. Will you attend Yale over Stern ?
