Congratulations to all the new admits!! So happy for you all! Go out and celebrate.
:woohoo

Waitlisted folks -- keep your heads up. It's not over until it's over ... and those of who have been around these boards for awhile have seen people be admitted to programs up until the end of Orientation Week. Pretty much anything is still possible at this point (even if it may not feel like it at right this second).

Got in. Was sleeping. Just woke up to the email.
Could anyone share how does one know about the scholarship on the website?

Thanks,
Rituraj.

It should be mentionned on your admission letter (PDF). If it is not, then unfortunately you were not selected for the merit scholarship.

I'm guessing that's Bruce DelMonico's letter on the portal right? I did not receive an admission letter in PDF.

Yes I meant the "status update" letter you can download on the portal:

Dear XXX:

Congratulations! On behalf of the Yale School of Management, I am delighted to offer you admission to the MBA Class of 2018.

Moreover, in addition to admission, you have been named the recipient of a scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to you based on your outstanding achievements and your potential for success. The scholarship provides $XX,XXX per year, or $XX,XXX total and is prorated for the time you are enrolled in our MBA program.

Our mission at the Yale School of Management is to educate leaders for business and society. The students we admit share a keen intellectual curiosity, the highest standards of academic and professional achievement, and a passion to excel. They are ready to take the next step in their lives. We are confident that you will enrich this group and that your experience here will help you become the kind of leader you want to be in your organization and community.

We encourage you to learn more about Yale SOM by visiting the Class of 2018 website. The site also contains everything you will need to know and do to make the transition to Yale. You can access it using the same username and password you used during the application submission and interview scheduling processes.

To secure your place in the Class of 2018, you must submit our online enrollment materials, available through the Class of 2018 website, by 5:00 PM ET on the deadline for the round in which you were admitted.

If you have any questions, please contact us at mba.admissions@yale.edu.

Sincerely,

W. Bruce DelMonico
Assistant Dean and Director of Admissions"

Although I'm on the waitlist, I'll be visiting Yale SOM next week. Would love to see the new building, take a class and interact with students, professors and staff.

Congrats to all who have endured this painful game called MBA admissions! Congrats to those who got in, and for those who didn't (including myself), I hope you still learned a thing or two from this experience.

Please take a moment to update your application status, and you all have a great weekend!

I visited Yale SOM yesterday. Evans Hall is gorgeous! Yalies are lucky to have such an ultra modern, state of the art building in which they can study and attend classes. My favorite area has to be the third floor hallway where one can sit and study. Remember, the Evans Hall is floor-to-ceiling glass. So from the 1st floor looking up, it looks like the students on the third floor are literally studying in the sky.

During the full-day visit, I observed a class called 'The Innovator', spoke to several current students, had a catered lunch with other prospective students, current students and someone from Yale SOM's AdCom, and of course took the tour of Evans Hall and Yale's campus.

There's also a 'Spring Ahead for Women' two-day event at Yale SOM on April 21st & 22nd for anyone who's interested in attending.

Sounds exciting.

Have you visited other schools as well? How does YSOM compare to other schools in terms of facility and overall atmosphere?

Does anyone here know whether Yale provide application feedback to dinged applicants? If yes, what's the process for it?

As far as I know, they do not provide feedback for dinged applicants (and I don't believe WLs either). However, feel free to call admissions and ask to be sure. You never know; you might get someone on a good day ;)
