I & my wife have both got admit into Rice with (22K/yr scholarship) to each of us..
The dilemma is : I have an admit in ISB (Indian School of Business); my wife didn't apply to ISB and now I have to decide between ISB & Rice and my mind/Heart is 50/50
any suggestions ??
Our profile is : Both working at Schlumberger in UK, my GMAT: 720/6, come from India from Top engineering colleges & 4 yrs of work-ex with SLB..

Congrats jkjack. IMHO, it'll be better for you (and also for you marriage) going to Rice.

I have to second ekalil here. Coming from a married guy, I'd take her lead if you are truly 50/50 between the two schools. If she is excited about the prospect of attending Rice then I think your decision is pretty easy. My wife won't even be attending school while I'm in business school but it was her influence that ultimately helped me to choose Rice over other schools.

Hi all! I am new to the site but have to admit I have been reading everyone's comments for a few days. I applied Round 2 and am still anxiously waiting for my phone to ring... I am hoping the reason I haven't been called yet is because I just interviewed this past week. Good luck to all of you are in my position, I feel for you!!

I'm in a similar situation. Submitted 12/4, got extended an interview invite within a few days, but was unable to interview until last week. I'm curious as to how/if this affected my application.

In my case, they did not receive my official transcripts until last week. Then, one member of the admissions said my application had been moved to R3. However, last week, another admissions' member said if my transcripts arrive there before the deadline (today), they would be able to give my answer today.

Now I have no idea what's going to happen.

Brazilian economy has a really good forecast for the next years. That is one of the reasons why I decided to make a MBA. I'm sure when I come back, in 2 and a half years, the market will be super hot and companies will need solid professionals.
