How's Brazil? I bought stock in Brazil Fast Foods which owns Taco Bell, KFC down there :-) .... Making me some good money!! Especially since the olympic games are there in 3 years!

Brazilian economy has a really good forecast for the next years. That is one of the reasons why I decided to make a MBA. I'm sure when I come back, in 2 and a half years, the market will be super hot and companies will need solid professionals.

They call at least some international. I'm not sure if they call everyone.

applied in R3, international candidate with 4 years of work ex in consulting. I know its a bit late in the application season, but keeping my fingers crossed. Its a great school in a great city

where can we check the transcripts status? I can't see anything like this on the application portal.

On the main applyyourself application page itself. It should change if your application has been inspected, with a detailed breakdown of all the components (Test Scores, Recoms, Transcripts etc.) of your app that have been received.


I had sent mine in mid-December, and it states that it hasn't yet been received! :?

just received an interview invite from Rice.. must say that they are pretty fast
submitted my application on 21 feb and got interview invite on 24 feb.. within three days.. wow
and, there are other schools where I applied such as Cornell who are reviewing the application from last 6 weeks..

Olin took about six weeks and the University of Illinois took about three weeks. I saw Emory on your list of schools, did you self-initiate that interview or did you submit your application first?

being an international student I never had this option of self-initiating the interview at Emory. Submitted my application to Emory in third week of January'2011. And, I am still waiting for the interview invite.

I wasn't aware that international students didn't have the opportunity to self-initiate. Hopefully they'll reach out to you soon. Emory and Rice were far and away the two schools that I was most impressed with out of all the programs to which I applied. Best of luck with the rest of the application process.
