How did your leadership and interpersonal skills contribute to this experience, and how will this experience impact your contribution as a team member at the Jones School? (Maximum 750 words) 3. Choose ONE of the following four essay topics (maximum 750 words): * Describe a defining moment or event that changed your life. Include its impact on you and how it altered your view of the world. * Describe your perfect day. How's Brazil? I bought stock in Brazil Fast Foods which owns Taco Bell, KFC down there :-)

.... Making me some good money!! Especially since the olympic games are there in 3 years!

Brazilian economy has a really good forecast for the next years. That is one of the reasons why I decided to make a MBA. I'm sure when I come back, in 2 and a half years, the market will be super hot and companies will need solid professionals.

According to Ben in the Feb 2nd chat session https://business.rice.edu/uploadedFiles/ ... b22011.pdf International applicants will be considered in all rounds, but it is recommended that they apply as early as possible, page 8 is where he mentions it.

On the main applyyourself application page itself. It should change if your application has been inspected, with a detailed breakdown of all the components (Test Scores, Recoms, Transcripts etc.) of your app that have been received.

I had sent mine in mid-December, and it states that it hasn't yet been received!

just received an interview invite from Rice.. must say that they are pretty fast
submitted my application on 21 feb and got interview invite on 24 feb.. within three days.. wow
and, there are other schools where I applied such as Cornell who are reviewing the application from last 6 weeks..

Congrats on the interview invite. Rice definitely had the quickest turnaround time compared to other schools I applied to where I did not have the opportunity to self-initiate an interview. Olin took about six weeks and the University of Illinois took about three weeks. I saw Emory on your list of schools, did you self-initiate that interview or did you submit your application first?

I wasn't aware that international students didn't have the opportunity to self-initiate. Hopefully they'll reach out to you soon. Emory and Rice were far and away the two schools that I was most impressed with out of all the programs to which I applied. Best of luck with the rest of the application process.
