It varies greatly by program. For example, the overall acceptance rate for the Full-Time program is around 33% whereas the acceptance rate for the MBA for Professionals program is around 62%, so if Rice interviews the same percentage of students from each pool your odds are substantially better for the Professionals program simply by a matter of numbers. However, the composition of the applicant pool comes into play, as well. The percentage of International applicants for the Full-Time program is around 50% whereas the percentage of International students applying for admission to the Professionals program is probably substantially less. This will also affect one's chances to a great extent (especially if you are domestic).
I noticed that the projected cohort size for the REEP MBA program is 10, so that adds another dimension to the process since you have to apply to REEP and the MBA for Professionals program. I see that there are essentially three ways to go through the REEP program (MBA, certificate, and Summer institute). Since the cohort of 10 seems pretty small, I'd consider being open to attending REEP via the multiple avenues listed above (if you're primarily interested in REEP and secondarily interested in the MBA).
Regarding my experience applying to the Full-Time program, it seems as if the overwhelming majority of students were interviewed (if the participants on this thread are an accurate sample set) so I just assumed that every student was being interviewed and assessed my odds based on past acceptance rates and the number of domestic students in the applicant pool (since that is essentially who I was competing against on a broader level).
Long story short there is no simple answer but if you break down the numbers you can develop a decent feel for your chances.
Best of luck.

Hey guys,
I am applying to the REEP MBA program @ Rice. My question is about interview invites....Someone previously posted that Rice possibly invites many applicants who are later rejected. I was invited to interview, but I'm trying to not get my hopes up.
Does anyone have more information about likelihood of acceptance if you are invited to interview. How much do they weigh the interview?
Any info would be helpful!
Thanks!
