I understand that but you can always take loans and be in student debt like everyone else hahah...only difference being that stern alum would be able to pay it much faster.
The pool of data is a bit limited, but the decision trackers from GMATClub show 2 and ClearAdmit shows 10 who were admitted from the waitlist. Most of those acceptances did not occur until the summer before the FT program began.
Stern’s most recent class profile shows an 80% GMAT range of 700-760, an absolute range of 620-770, and an average of 729 (source: https://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admi ... ss-profile). Generally, to be competitive, you’d like to find yourself within the 80% range, but everyone’s profile is a bit different!
