OwenorBust, Looks like I am a few days behind, but I second the
Magoosh study prep. I was wait listed in round 1 and retook the GMAT last week after restarting studying in mid January. My last test was in July. I was able to increase my score from 640 to 680. I used the
Magoosh, official guide 2013, and some left over
Manhattan GMAT tests. The first few weeks were rough; I received a 580 on the
MGMAT practice test. But I got better working through the
Magoosh online videos and practice problems. The
MGMAT tests seem to have harder quant than the actual test, at least for me.
Magoosh also has a 50 point score increase, or your money back. I didn't work through all of the verbal problems, so I wasn't able to get my money back. However, I am very pleased with my score and feel that they have a great product, so I wouldn't have asked for it back anyway.
Magoosh's practice problems have a video explanation on how to solve, which helped me visualize what I did wrong and show alternate methods to solve problems. Stay positive! I hope increasing my score will turn into an offer this week.
