Hi All, I was wondering if the admission offers for Round 2 been sent out yet? There was a lot of acivity for Round 1 but I dont see any for Round 2?

Hey, there's a huge difference in the volumes of apps between Round 1 and 2(at least in this fourm). 32 people were admitted in the first round whereas only three people in the second from this forum. Hence the silence I guess. Have you already applied?

I noticed that about the FB group too.
I talked to a second year student and found out that there were only 5 Indian students in the class of 2014 but in the class of 2015 there are 15.
As a result some of the Indian students are still struggling to get their summer internships.
I have already paid the deposit so I'll join anyway just that there may be bit of pressure for internationals getting the internships/placement opportunities given the sudden increase in their number.
Have you talked to any current students?

Yes I applied for Round 2. I called the admission office and I was told that they are in the process of sending out admission offers. They did inform me of my status..Admitted!! I have no information regaring scholarship though. So I guess I will have to wait a little bit before celebrating!

Is it possible you were considered with R2? Since you had your materials in well before the R3 due date and typically Carlson doesn't send out admissions decisions prior to 2 weeks before the "official" announcement date? Not that it matters anyway... Congrats!

I applied in R3, almost in the deadline day. Any idea by when will I get interview invite? What are the chances that I will be rejected without any interviews ?

BTW when is the last date for R1 & R2 applicant to submit their deposit fees?

I personally applied on 25 January for R3, got my interview invite on 4 February, confirmation on 7 February and interviewed on 17 February. I have heard, however, the invite could be any time between your submission and the decision date of 15 April. So no reason to worry yet.

Any idea when is the last date for the submission of the acceptance fees for R1 and R2 selects?

I know for a fact that the second payment of $500 is due in June for all rounds according to the website. The first $500 seems to be due when you accept the admission offer, but I am not certain on how long you can wait between admission decision and acceptance. Maybe someone from R1 can answer that...

Received the admission packet. Got half-tuition scholarship, and now i am in a greater dilemma!!

So I had my interview last night.
The interview was quite conversational - he (AdCom) took great effort to get to know my background, experiences and the whole story...

Questions were the usual ones: (maybe I am missing a few too..)
- why engineering as undergraduate?
- why MBA?
- why Carlson?
- short/long term goals?
- strength
- weakness
- teamwork experience
- ethical dilemma
- how would I teach a totally new concept to someone?
- 2-min extempore on a topic of my choice (he gave me 1-2 min to prepare)
- which other schools have I applied to, and why?
- questions for him

Overall, it lasted almost an hour - and my interviewer was VERY friendly. I was not fully fully prepared for the 2-min extempore and maybe I stumbled at 2-3 questions more... but all in all it was a very nice experience!

Is there anyway to tell at what point in the process my application is via the admissions site? It just shows that all of my materials were submitted and the dates. Does anyone know if this changes if you are accepted/dinged? The suspense is killing me!

I don't think Carlson will release the decision before the deadline...
