Carlson (Minnesota) Class of 2016 Calling all applicants

So, I am not the only one left out here..I was infact interviewed on 25th october but no update yet..
from the table I can see that no one got waitlisted..maybe that status is waiting for us Hope not!

I am not sure about the increase in applications this year which someone had posted about in this forum. But as far as i am aware, most of the adcoms in the business schools were closed for two three weeks in dec-jan. Thats the reason for the delay in the admits.

So hope for the best

Yeah i am also thinking the same thing. But i have already decided to join another bschool but i am only curious to know the result. I put a lot of effort into this app. I will most likely not joining Carlson unless they give me a full ride, which is unlikely

How is it you were interviewed before round 1 deadline? Did you visit Carlson and request an interview?

Nope, It was a skype interview. Submitted my app on 15th October and got an interview invite on 17th which was scheduled for 25th!

Cool that was done pretty quickly. Strange that they have not released the decision by the date mentioned on their website. I wrote them a mail also today but haven't heard anything yet.

I guess they will release all the results today..I will also leave them an email if no update by today. please do post once you get an update.

anyone from Mumbai on this forum who received an admit to Carlson?

I had written to Carlson asking why decisions are yet to be released. This is what they replied:

We are in the final process of confirming our admissions decisions, and we will be in touch as soon as a decision has been rendered -- you will receive notification via email and mail. Because our application numbers for the first round were up nearly 15-20%, some decisions may be arriving a few days late. We have worked diligently to try to provide admissions decisions as promised, but ultimately, we want to ensure we're giving all applicants full and equal consideration. We do appreciate your understanding and patience.

So i guess it will take more time. BTW, i have not received any email till now

Got in with half tuition scholarship... But unlikely to join..
