Hi there,
Congrats on a killer GMAT! You also have an excellent GPA from a prestigious university, so you definitely put yourself in the conversation for M7 programs. While the gap in your work experience isn't ideal, it can be explained. You were looking to make both a functional and geographical change, and that takes time, so I don't believe this is detrimental. You just need to frame it the right way. The bottom is line is that you found a meaningful opportunity where you grew professionally got some solid managerial experience under your belt. Your missionary work could go under a broader "involvement" category if the impact was meaningful community outreach. The only question I'd have is around your goals. I'm not sure tech exec is a realistic short term goal immediately out of business school, unless you've identified a likely path for this already. Also, you'll want to make sure you think through how you'd transition from your short term goal to tech exec to then VC. Be sure to fill in the gaps with your logic.
