Congratulations to all Booth R1 admits! Best wishes for wonderful years ahead. Use this thread to connect with fellow admits and discuss about funding, program options, networking activities...
We would really appreciate if you take some time out to document your admission journey in 'Share you application experience' forum. You may also consider posting a detailed interview debrief on 'BSchool reviews' page.
Excited for First Day weekend. For those deciding between schools, has your mind already been made up? Or do the First Day / Admit weekends have some sway?
Let's bring some life to this thread. It could be early but can we have some discussion around housing options? what is the ideal option for international students with family? I heard that many of them live near hyde park but also heard about safety issues there. Is it still true or it has changed? Hows the option of Millinium park plaza for families? Also i found that MPP and Loop area in general are relatively costlier.

Here are my two cents after chatting with several current students/alums: most married people live around south loop/Chinatown area, which is several blocks south of Downtown/the Loop/MPP etc. South Loop apartments are usually several hundred dollars cheaper and larger than those in the loop, also with affordable parking cost if you have a car. While the main advantage of living in the MPP ect. seems to be in the center of the Booth social universe -- not just for parties but also "networking" with 2nd years when you need to figure things (recruiting etc.) out from them.
My tenant is looking for a roommate starting September 1st. Rent is $1360 a month and the location is at 155 n harbor drive right near the metra to booth!
