It seems as though everyone who has applied ED and has received interview invites has gotten in. Has anyone been rejected yet? Is it just an extremely good sign to have received an interview invite 2 weeks after applying?

I sure hope so...interviewed earlier this week so am painfully waiting!

Something that my interviewer told me after I was accepted was that admissions doesn't mind wasting your (an applicant's) time nor do they mind wasting an admissions officer's time, but they do not want to waste their alumni's time... They only invite very promising candidates to interview- especially now.
Obviously it's no guarantee, but that should help put an interview invite into perspective!

I hope so! Congrats on the acceptance! I was actually declined after interview last year, however that was MUCH later in the RD process, and I've heard others echo the sentiment that an interview invite is a great sign during ED.
Long time lurker, but this forum has been absolutely incredible in helping me with the process, and I figured that I'd add my dates for those of you who want more data.
All parts of Application complete: 8/25 Interview received: 9/16 Interview feedback submitted: 10/4 Acceptance call: 10/11

Congratulations! I was wondering if you could you give us your background?
Seems like you had a pretty long time period between the application and the acceptance! I applied ED and on the deadline so I still have a while to wait to hear anything back....!
tejusmenon, ~6-7 weeks seems to be about average so far. I'm sure a lot may have to do with when you are actually able to schedule an interview with an alumni ambassador.
Damn sorry to hear. Good luck with your other schools. Sometimes you're just a better fit for another top program. I have a buddy who got dinged at Kellogg and Booth but ended up in at Harvard. Also, don't be afraid to reapply. I took a ton of dings last year. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions about reapplying.
Hey guys I am new to the forum, anyone who applied on the 10/1 or 10/2 hear back about interviews? also to those admitted how are you notified about interviews?

they send you an email about the invite and call you about an acceptance.
10/1 seems like you will hear between today and next tuesday. took me 3 weeks+1 day to hear.
If I get into Tuck, this will be a welcomed ding. Problem is, I have to wait to wait 2 months before figuring out how I feel about this. Good luck to everyone else
How do you know when your interviewer submits their report. What does it say in the application?

Shows up as an application update. Just like when you received the interview invite.
Also, sorry to hear Air22. Good luck with Tuck, I have a friend who's an alum from there that raves about all aspects of it. If you don't mind sharing, what were your thoughts coming out of the interview? Did you feel it went well?
It could have gone better. With that said, I did have a good rapport with the interviewer, and knew him beforehand, met him a few months back (unrelated). But I do think I could have done better in the interview and if I had to guess I'd say that's what did me in...but who really knows
Thanks for sharing. That's tough, very sorry, man. That's actually exactly how I felt after my interview last year. Didn't know the guy beforehand, but he had a similar disposition, and we had a lot in common, so there was a good rapport, but I felt I could have done much better. Good luck with your other schools, and on the plus side it sounds like you're on the young side, so you can always try again next year with another year of WE.
good luck guys!! If you haven't done your interview yet, remember to show your passion in what you want to do...that is a common thing I saw on all the admitted students. I think it's a good thing to keep having that
