Title: MiM abroad vs Indian MBA – worth the risk for financial stability?
Hey all,
I’m from India, middle-class background, no major work ex yet. I’m torn between two paths:
CAT → top 5–10 Indian B-school → job → maybe business later.
GMAT/GRE → MiM in Europe/UK → job abroad → maybe startup & bring family over.
My biggest concern: I don’t want to drown in debt.
I’m okay working hard, but I don’t want to spend years struggling just to repay loans.
I need to know:
Realistic GMAT/GRE scores + profile strength needed for top MiM admits (with scholarship chances).
ROI after MiM abroad – especially for Indian students in Europe/UK.
Is CAT the “safer” financial route, or does MiM abroad still win long-term if done right?
Can I realistically prep from scratch and build a competitive profile in ~1 year? (currently doing Graduation 2nd year.)
Would love brutally honest takes, stats, or personal experiences so I can decide without ruining my finances.
