yashikaaggarwal I am definitely willing for mba/ MSc in top 20 colleges usa ( Harvard, Stanford, duke, ny Stern, mit Sloan, booth). 1.should I have more work experience ( in top mncs.) ? 2. Have high gmat score >780. 3.graduate from a mediocre us colleges ( state Universities) with very high gpa, will it coverup my low undergraduate gpa? then apply to these top colleges for MSc /mba. Please state which of above points (1, 2,3) would be relevant/ have more weightage to my application. Thankyou.

amypoka, to be honest, no one could ever predict the perfect profile to get admission at M7 schools. A few things, your years of work experience are less important than what impact you made during your work tenure in your company/companies. Second bachelor’s or master’s both are gonna to raise questions about why you chose to do the degree twice. Just make sure you have a legible answer. 780 is quite a dreamy score, but no school want you to get 780 to get admission. GMAT is just one factor... Your GPA, Your Volunteering, Extra-Curricular, Work Experience, Your Essays, CV... A profile is a mixed recipe for quite a lot of things, you gotta decide which you can do better to set off what you can’t.

Does anyone have a source with a brief overview of what seperates the most prominent MiM´s in Europe? Such as style of teaching etc etc. It is tiring to check each one individually :D

I don’t think so. Top MIM Schools are also ranked higher in MBA rankings too.

I have a doubt regarding the join a school in france track. Although it will be very financially convenient, I am very skeptical about how to portray my motivation for studying at the universities. There is no option of an sop, so how do I write the essays in a way to let them know about my career goals?

In the 4 scale gpa requirement for gmat, should I just multiply my 10 scale score by 4? (Indian Student)

My cgpa is 8.75, so will it be 3.5 in the 4 scale system?

Please help me understand why is 60-100% mentioned as 4.0 for Indian Students (on mba.com)

Putting score for GMAT exam registration is not compulsory. You can put 4 according to mba.com website

But if you are talking about submitting application

Do NOT ever convert your grade.

Well, There is nothing known as reliable counsellors. You might get admission using the services of a counsellor but no one can guarantee you a admission.

So, it’s your call.

Thank you for the advice. Still do you have any ones in mind who can guide me through the application process?
