Invited a day before decision day, interviewed a few days after decision day, and found out a few (business) days after that.

Guys, What's the best way to make it from JFK to Ithaca by road? Bus services? car rentals? Car rental is turning out to be pretty expensive, any insights, thanks!

Cheapest option is the Airtran to Sutphin blvd. Manhattan bound E train to 42nd street-port authority. Most buses (besides chinatown and megabus) enter/leave out of the Port Authority. Shortline and Greyhound both offer multiple routes per day to Ithaca via some stops. Roundtrip prices are about $100. Posted from my mobile device

Flying into JFK, then heading to Manhattan from Queens, and then stuck on a bus for another 5 hours? Sounds painful. Good luck to all that have to make that journey.

I'd say you should just fly upstate into Albany, Rochester, or Syracuse and rent a car from there. I grew up in Rochester, which is about an hour from campus (if you take the back roads).
