Just wanted to give a congratulatory shout-out to R2 admits who got their deposits in this week, and a good luck to R3 applicants waiting to hear back. I hope a bunch of calls go out today so you can spend Easter weekend making plans for DJ!

Hey to anyone who can not make it to DJ, I'm planning on throwing my own the weekend after! My wife and I will be in Ithaca 4/19 & 4/20, let me know if you will be around. Have a great time at DJ all, wish we were there.

International student from R3 just received my interview invite, what do I make of this? So late in the game? Are they looking for potential waitlists or am I being cynical?

I'll repeat this again. I was invited to interview the day before R1 decision day, and was accepted. The timing of your interview invite has no bearing on your chance of being admitted. Good Luck!

ah that is so encouraging. I am finishing a major project tomorrow and was secretly hoping to get an invite on Monday (4/1). Hope it happens.

hailmary did you get an invite yet? only 3 more business days left..

Guys, What's the best way to make it from JFK to Ithaca by road? Bus services? car rentals? Car rental is turning out to be pretty expensive, any insights, thanks!

Cheapest option is the Airtran to Sutphin blvd. Manhattan bound E train to 42nd street-port authority. Most buses (besides chinatown and megabus) enter/leave out of the Port Authority. Shortline and Greyhound both offer multiple routes per day to Ithaca via some stops. Roundtrip prices are about $100.

Flying into JFK, then heading to Manhattan from Queens, and then stuck on a bus for another 5 hours? Sounds painful. Good luck to all that have to make that journey.

I'd say you should just fly upstate into Albany, Rochester, or Syracuse and rent a car from there. I grew up in Rochester, which is about an hour from campus (if you take the back roads).

Thanks guys, flying from FL, ticket prices to anywhere except JFK were costing me a paycheck. We'll see how this adventure turns out, will keep you all posted

The C2C bus is a great alternative to the shortline and greyhound options. Seats are reserved and bus goes direct ithaca/sage. You're also likely to meet and talk with someone already at Cornell. Prices are higher of course ($165 roundtrip). The bus leaves from the cornell club near grand central terminal.

Thank you.

I prefer the 5/20 through Canandaguia and Geneva. No police or speed traps. :)

Binghamton is a viable option to. I flew there for my interview and the ticket was 1/2 the price of flying into Ithaca.

Does anyone know if the notification deadline of April 3 applies to decisions for people who interviewed. I interviewed on Thursday 3/28 but am not sure if I should be expecting to hear by the 3rd? Any info is greatly appreciated. All in all this b-school process is probably the most emotional roller coaster I have experienced. Hopefully it ends with some positive news soon.

I was told after I interviewed that they might miss the 4/3 date and not to be worried because of that...
