Hi,
Would appreciate some help here.
I am applying in R2 to Ross, Tepper, McDonough, Kelley, Texas McCombs.
I left my last job in September 2016. I worked with a startup till September and left if because of excessive work load and their requirement for me to work on every day including the weekends.
Even though the gap is not big, I am looking for a better opportunity right now and will join another firm only when I'll get a decent opportunity.
I am currently volunteering at an NGO in the field of education. I am also utilizing my time to learn Spanish online.
Please suggest a suitable way in which I can justify my currently unemployed state.
Regards,
Shardul,
Well there are two elements here:
1. You have to give them a GOOD story for leaving (and not tell them the real reasons). Ideally this should have you a) moving FORWARD to something better! and b) filling your time with other things
2. You need to give a very clear idea of what you will do for the next year. Sure your work gap isnt too long now, but if you will be unemployed until your matriculation, it will be HUGE. the schools will want to know what your plan is.
I hope this helps,
Best,
Jon
