Does anyone has an idea about H1B to F1 visa conversion? Can an H1B holder apply for F1 visa? I am working on H1B and I have to leave my employer for MBA, so I would need F1.

I heard that H1B holder are not eligible for F1.

Can anyone please help with this?

Their blog has a video by Sara Neher, where she mentions that the invites are going to go out first to people from the US, and then to the rest of the world...

I, as an international applicant, probably need to wait a bit.

I applied R1 as well, was panicking until I saw on one of the admissions blogs that applications come randomly to the adcom. Thus, they may not have reviewed given application from a given region.

Just had my interview on Skype. It was with a member of the admissions team. It was a totally blind interview without a fixed set of questions, so it does not feel awkward to tell your story once again. I hope I did not talk too much, though :)

So did they let you just dive into a monologue to tell your story? Or was it more of a conversation?

I've got an on-grounds interview coming up and I'm not sure if I need to prepare a 20 minute long speech or if there will be some guidance throughout.

They will ask questions to guide you.. Either to keep you going, or, as in my case, to move on :). Good luck for your interview! I am happy mine is over, but now the wait begins once again...

I received an interview invite earlier in the afternoon ~4 PM Cville time.

I am from Brazil and they said an alum will get in touch within the next 10 business days to schedule the interview with me.
