Did anyone hear anything about $$$ today during their calls?

I asked about merit scholarships and was told that all of the information related to our financial package would be included in the official "snail mail" acceptance letter. I'm curious to know, however, whether that's what they told me because I didn't receive anything or if that's actually true.

Anyone else receive info about $?

I was also told the same thing; it was from Sara Neher (Assistant Dean for Admissions), so I am taking her word for it.

Same here... UVa undergrad, Darden alum wrote recs and interview went way over in a good way. Maybe I offended someone there while in college? Oh well, congrats to everyone who got a call today! Fingers crossed there are some late calls or, like round 1, just an emails with no calls around 12:01 EST.

Why are people freaking out? No one on here has any idea how late they will be making calls or if today is the only day they are making calls.

I don't think anyone is freaking out, we're just disappointed. Actually we do know that today is the only day calls will be made because official emails go out at midnight. Hopefully you're right that there will be more calls tonight, but it's almost 5 in Charlottesville and I haven't seen anyone get a call in a while so it seems like wishful thinking.

Just wanna confirm, were there any accepted candidates in R1 or last year who received just an acceptance email at 12:01 EST with no calls??

Hopefully. I'm waiting on three more decisions that should come out next week, and sitting on one waitlist from last week.

Appears to have been at least 1 last December. Flip back to the board posts from then to look around (think it was around December 19th).

I never received the call, but I just got an email with a video of a bunch of people saying I have been admitted. Have you received the same video??? Please let me know!!!

I hear you man. I've just had a bad week with my double wait lists at Fuqua and Ross. I'm just sort of bracing for another WL/rejection.

Thanks! This is my second year trying for my MBA (I was dinged at all 4 schools I applied to last year), so having 2 admits under my belt feels great. I've got a tough decision to make between Darden and Anderson now...

It definitely sounded like the person from adcom was going to be there for a while making more calls. She said she started at 9PM last night to some internationals and west coasters, and started again today at 8AM and was basically going nonstop since then. She was very upbeat and said it was one of the best days of the year because she just gets to speak with happy people all day.

I took a quick read through last year's thread and it sounds/looks like everyone who got in received a call the day before. I saw no mention of calls being made the day of decision release, so I hear the ding-a-dong coming.

Waitlisted

In reality, how often do they accept waitlisted people? If they don't let you know until the summer then you are essentially forgoing admission to other programs for the slim hope of getting in, right?
