Since these are graphical questions, we will try to eliminate 3 incorrect options instead of choosing the 1 right option.
1Q: For full time students, we can see that the max % of student studying is between 9am - 1 pm.
So any option which has one hour from this range and an hour from another range should be wrong.
Hence C and A are eliminated.
No between rest of the 2 options, at 8 am the % student studying is between 20-25% and at

the % full time student studying at:
8am = 20-25%
8pm = 20-25%
11pm = 10-15%
12am = 5-10%

Also we can see that the slope from 11 pm to 12 am is very steep, hence option D is also eliminated.

Hence option B is correct.

2Q.
From last q we saw that % full time students studying at 11pm is around 10-15%.

Now again we try to eliminate 3 options

the % part time student studying at:
6am = 0-5%
8pm = 5-10%
10am = 10-15%
11pm = 5-10%

Hence option A,B and D are not similar to the range of % full time students studying at 11pm.

Hence option C is correct.

1. The % of full time students studying was most similar at ___________.

A. 12pm and 4pm
B. 8am and 8pm
C. 12pm and 8pm
D. 12am and 11pm

% of full time students studying at:

12pm: 30-35%
4pm: 25-30%
8am: 20-25%
8pm: 20-25%
12am: 5-10%
11pm: 10-15%

As we can see, amongst the range options given above, only 8am and 8pm have values between the same 5 percent variation (20-25%)

Answer: B (8am and 8pm)

2. The % of full time students studying at 11pm is most similar to the % of part time students studying at ____________.

A. 6am
B. 8am
C. 10am
D. 10pm

% of full time students studying at 11pm = 10-15%

We need to find the time slot where the % of part time students is equal to between 10-15%:

Let us examine the answer choices

6am: 0-5%
8am: 5-10%
10am: 10-15%
10pm: 5-10%

So, at 10am, a similar % of part time students are studying as full time at 11pm

Answer: C (10am)

Official Explanation

B – to compare the times of day, first consult the answer choices and then use the process of elimination. The first choice, 8am and 8pm, shows an almost identical relationship. With that as the “incumbent” correct answer, the other choices do not get close enough to really consider further. 8am and 8pm is the correct answer.

Answer: B

C – to compare these, draw an imaginary line (or use your pen to bridge the lines on your screen) and you will see that the 10am line for part-time students matches almost directly with the 11pm line for full-time students.

Answer: C
