Wow. You have a sweet deal and a fantastic profile!

I think you can pick any European program or American one.

Usually the strength of your MBA program degree is the greatest at graduation or during school and it starts losing power immediately after, going down to pretty low in as little as five years and maybe even three. I’m seeing this to point out that you’ll be somewhat removed from your Alma mater when it comes time to your long-term goal so probably doesn’t matter all that much but if you want to leverage some connections and networking, being close to the school is the best option so for example if you plan to settle in London, being close to LBS is going to be the most Powerful or if you’re planning to be in Paris then HEC or INsEAd or Haas or Stanford if you’re thinking about Bay Area.

Hi @RJ3001274402 , I hope you are doing well! Your profile showcases a strong academic background from one of India's top IITs, alongside impressive work experience in both operations/strategy and leadership roles in high-profile companies, particularly with your Chief of Staff role. While your GMAT score of 705 is great, your GPA of 7.11 is slightly below the typical range for INSEAD, though your IIT background should help mitigate that. Your international exposure (leading projects in Brazil, Japan, and the global M&A deals) is valuable, even without being physically present in those countries, that said INSEAD likely value more direct, immersive international work experience.

Your entrepreneurial aspirations are a strong point, especially with the senior role in Europe you are returning to, which aligns with INSEAD’s global and entrepreneurial focus. However, the lack of direct international work experience, particularly in the form of stints abroad, might be a drawback for INSEAD’s global culture but you can frame your whole story in a compelling way. In terms of extra-curriculars, your long-term engagement with poetry and mentoring adds personality and uniqueness.

In summary, you have a great profile for INSEAD's Jan intake, but to strengthen your application, focus on clearly articulating your leadership impact, the value of your international exposure, and why now is the right time for an MBA, especially if you're transitioning into entrepreneurship post-MBA. Tackling the low GPA and emphasizing global strategy contributions can help make your case stronger. You can also explore some more schools like HEC, LBS, IESE, IE, IMD. You can take a look at this webinar and this BLOG for more insights.

If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a 1:1 call with you to learn more about your profile and provide a detailed evaluation. Please feel free to schedule a profile evaluation call according to your convenience.

Cheers!

I pursued my undergraduation in engineering and in my final year did a course on Digital Marketing and transitioned to the world of Social Media Marketing. I worked with leading brands in the sports media space as well as gaming space prior to joining LinkedIn. At LinkedIn I closely work with leaders (F500, CXOs) from the world of marketing, media, entertainment, and retail (CPG, Apparel, Auto, etc) to help them grow their presence on the platform.

My goal is to go deeper into the world of marketing and build authority in the space. Since I don’t have an undergraduation degree in business / marketing, I believe an MBA will set me up for success to grow in the field and move more into core marketing roles.

Hey
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, you have got a pretty strong narrative for an MBA pivot into media/entertainment marketing. The 7 years of experience is solid, and the way you transitioned from engineering into digital/social media marketing, working with big brands in sports/gaming and now LinkedIn advising F500/CXOs, gives you relevant and differentiated exposure.

Your GPA slightly looks on the lower side and while you don’t have a formal business/marketing background, your career story already shows progression in that direction, which strengthens your “why MBA.” Target schools like Kellogg, Columbia, INSEAD, and ISB make a lot of sense given their strengths in marketing and global exposure. IIMs/HEC Montreal may be good additions for safety, but I’d suggest also looking at Ross and UCLA Anderson since both have strong reputations in marketing/entertainment.

You haven’t mentioned a GMAT/GRE score, Adcoms at top schools will want to see a competitive number. Overall, with the right test score and essays tying your career shift together, you’re a strong candidate.

I understand that the US media/entertainment/CPG industries do not hire international MBAs. Do exercise caution when stating your post-MBA goals. You may end up doing self-harm.

Hi @Rakravi123,

You bring a strong professional narrative with 7 years of experience spanning sports, gaming, and now LinkedIn, where you engage directly with senior leaders across multiple industries. This showcases both industry depth and client-facing leadership, which are valuable for MBA programs. Your GPA is decent, though not standout, so a strong GMAT/GRE will help balance the academic side. GMAT - you should aim for a 695+ score to strengthen your application and stay competitive for top-tier programs.

The pivot into core marketing is logical—you’ve already built expertise in digital and social media, and the MBA can provide the broader strategic and brand management foundation you seek. You should frame your essays around your transition from digital marketing execution to shaping overall brand and marketing strategy.

Feel free to book a free call with our MBA experts for a more detailed discussion. You can also contact us directly at [email protected] or +91-7780769732.

Thanks for sharing your profile @Rakravi123 ! Let's start with your strengths: Relevant marketing + tech platform experience. Working at LinkedIn, engaging with enterprise clients, with exposure to media, gaming, retail, etc., gives you a platform & credibility. Leadership and client exposure. Senior-stakeholder interaction, managing brand presence, and likely metrics/data leadership. Quantitative foundation, the engineering + digital marketing course provides quantitative comfort; that’s useful especially for analytics in marketing.

Risks / Weaknesses: GPA ~7.52 is OK, but below many of the medians for top MBA programs, especially in the US / top global schools, where UG grades often are higher. This may require explanation/context. Lack of a formal business or marketing degree. You’ll need to provide proof of knowledge/impact in marketing: campaigns, metrics, analytics, etc. Competition in marketing roles. Many applicants to top schools also have strong marketing + business backgrounds; you need to differentiate: through scale, impact, creativity, data, leadership. IIMs and regional schools will likely view you favorably, but for INSEAD, Kellogg, Columbia, marketing authority, external signals (awards, published work, portfolio) help.

If you plan to take the GMAT or GRE, aim high enough to match or exceed the medians at your reach schools. For U.S./top global schools, scores in the top percentiles in the quant + overall matter. Ensure consistent performance across sections (especially quant/analytical) since marketing roles will require measurable and analytical skills.

Gather evidence of real outcomes: growth in engagement, revenue, ROI on campaigns, incremental impact, conversion numbers, etc. If possible, take on a side project or freelance/consulting in marketing that gives you more ownership + measurable results. For example, optimize a campaign’s efficiency, A/B test something, launch a new product feature, etc.

“Why MBA now?” This is especially important since your undergrad isn’t in business. You need to clearly identify skill gaps in marketing leadership that only an MBA can fill (strategy, consumer insights, leadership, scaling, global exposure). “Why X school?” Align each target school’s marketing, media, entrepreneurship, digital marketing labs, or partnerships. Cite concrete resources, case competitions, and professors, if possible. Show proof of academic rigor post-undergrad (courses, certifications, top performance in mocks or ongoing learning).

Since formal academic credentials are strong but not in marketing/business, adding or more strongly highlighting extracurriculars is useful. Perhaps coaching, content creation, volunteer work in media/branding, public speaking, or community initiatives in your domain. Even modest ones help.

Engage alumni/marketing leaders via LinkedIn from your target schools for info & networking. If possible, take a short marketing analytics/brand strategy/data course and complete a small project you can include

Questions for you to reflect upon:
1) What are your unofficial or practice GMAT / GRE scores to date (especially the quant section)?)
2) Do you have specific brands/companies you aim to work for post-MBA (especially Entertainment / Media)? Knowing that helps with “why school”.
3) Who will be your recommenders (title/relationship)? How well do they know your marketing & leadership work?
4) Any marketing campaigns or projects you led or had ownership over (with numbers) that you haven’t yet written down?
5) Which of your target schools is your highest priority (if only one)?

We would love to learn more about your academic background, extracurricular activities, professional experiences, and personal journey so we can offer a more tailored assessment of your profile and evaluate your chances at your target schools more accurately. Feel free to book a profile evaluation session.

The MBA application journey is often described as a marathon rather than a sprint. Between GMAT preparation, school research, essays, interviews, and waiting for admission decisions, applicants face long periods of pressure and uncertainty. Tools like the GMATClub Decision Tracker are extremely helpful, allowing candidates to share timelines, compare results, and feel less isolated during the process.

One aspect that is often overlooked, however, is mental balance. Sustained focus is essential for GMAT preparation, but burnout can easily reduce efficiency. Many successful applicants emphasize the importance of short, intentional breaks to reset the mind. This is where simple activities—rather than long distractions—can be surprisingly effective.

For example, casual games such as Slice Master offer quick sessions that help release tension without demanding long-term commitment. The game relies on timing and precision, creating a short “flow state” that allows the brain to disengage briefly from analytical thinking. Spending a few minutes with a lightweight game like Slice Master (available at https://slicemaster.net/
) can help candidates return to problem-solving with renewed concentration.

There is an interesting parallel between GMAT preparation and games like Slice Master. Both reward consistency, incremental improvement, and learning from mistakes. Just as GMAT scores improve through repeated practice and review, Slice Master encourages players to refine their timing through repetition. The key difference is that one sharpens analytical skills, while the other offers mental recovery.

In the context of decision tracking, waiting periods can be especially stressful. Applicants constantly refresh status pages and compare outcomes. During these moments, having a healthy way to step back—even briefly—can make the process more manageable. Short, focused breaks can prevent anxiety from interfering with interview prep or future planning.

In conclusion, while tools like the GMATClub Decision Tracker are essential for navigating the MBA application process, maintaining mental clarity is equally important. Balancing structured study with intentional downtime—sometimes through simple activities like Slice Master—can help applicants stay focused, resilient, and consistent throughout the journey.

I currently have 1.5 years of professional experience in audit at a Big Four firm in the Netherlands, and by the time I apply to business school, I will have approximately four years of full-time work experience. I've received an above average rating in my first year.

I hold both a bachelor’s degree (GPA: 6.8/10) and a master’s degree in Accounting (GPA: 7.0/10) from a university ranked within the global top 50 (according to U.S. News & World Report).

I am a first-generation student (parents didn't finish middle school), born in the Netherlands to Afghan refugee parents. I spent the first eight years of my life living in an asylum seekers’ center.

Outside of work, I am actively involved in community service. I serve as treasurer for a regional UNICEF organization and volunteer as a Dutch language instructor for refugees.

I am targeting IB outside of Europe, preferably in the GCC or USA.

I plan to take the GRE next year. My initial diagnostic test, taken without preparation, resulted in a score of 310, and I am targeting a score of 325 or higher.

Strengths:

Unique personal story: First-generation, refugee background — compelling and highly differentiating for adcoms.

Strong trajectory: Big Four audit experience with solid early performance and projected 4 years by application time.

Academic credibility: Master’s + bachelor’s from a globally ranked university; GPA is modest but balanced by narrative and work impact.

Leadership & service: UNICEF treasurer + volunteering as a language instructor shows initiative, leadership, and social impact.

Considerations:

GRE will be critical — a jump to 325+ is strongly recommended to offset GPA concerns and compete for top programs.

Post-MBA IB goal outside Europe is realistic, but you need to clearly articulate the transition story from audit → IB and why the geographic move.

Highlight measurable impact in audits/projects, not just responsibilities, to strengthen quantitative credibility.

Verdict:
You have a very compelling, differentiated profile. With a strong GRE and a focused narrative connecting your work, personal story, and IB ambitions, you can be competitive for top programs in the USA or GCC.

I’d be happy to review your profile in detail to assess chances and highlight ways to strengthen your application.

Strong quantitative and finance credentials: 2 years in hedge funds at a bulge-bracket US bank shows real investment experience, client exposure, and market sophistication. GPA 3.7 from a solid program supports academic readiness.

Strengths:

Directly aligned pre- and post-MBA career goals (Investment Management → MIT Sloan Masters in Finance)

Bulge-bracket hedge fund experience signals both rigor and selectivity

Female applicant in finance — diversity can be a positive differentiator

Considerations:

Work experience is on the lower end (2 years) for MIT Sloan Masters in Finance, which is competitive — essays and recommendations must clearly show impact, ownership, and progression

MIT Sloan will expect clarity of post-degree trajectory, not just “finance exposure”

Verdict:
You have a solid, relevant profile. Focus on storytelling, measurable impact, and career clarity to maximize admit chances. No immediate red flags.

I’d be happy to offer a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances — no pressure, no strings, just actionable insights.

Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, you bring a strong senior-level profile that fits well with what HBS looks for in experienced candidates, especially with 12 years in PE and exposure likely involving real decision-making and value creation. Your background adds meaningful geographic and market diversity, which can work in your favor if your experience highlights impact in emerging or frontier markets.

The GRE and GPA will need careful positioning, so it’s important to clearly show quantitative depth through deal complexity, modeling ownership, investment committee exposure and portfolio leadership. At this level, HBS will care most about leadership, scale, and clarity of purpose- why an MBA now, and how HBS specifically accelerates your long-term PE goals. R2 deadlines are in the first week of January, so execution speed on essays, recommendations, and positioning will matter just as much as profile strength.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!

A 323 GRE is below the HBS average range and will not help compensate for anything else in the profile. It doesn’t automatically disqualify you, but for someone coming from Private Equity, the bar is materially higher. Most successful PE admits to HBS either bring:

elite-brand PE + standout leadership impact, or

a very strong test score that removes all academic doubt.

A 3.6/5 GPA is fine but not a differentiator. At HBS, that puts pressure back on the GRE/GMAT and the story.

What this means in plain terms

With this GRE, HBS is a long shot unless the PE experience is truly exceptional (mega-fund / sovereign fund / rapid promotions / real deal ownership).

If PE is mid-market or analyst-heavy with limited leadership narrative, the current score is a weak point.

Blunt but fair advice

If HBS is non-negotiable → retake the GRE and aim 327–330+.

Without a retake, your chances hinge almost entirely on rare impact, leadership outside work, and powerful recommendations.

HBS admits people, not resumes—but they also don’t ignore numbers.

If you want an honest call on whether your PE story is strong enough as-is or whether a retake is essential, I can walk through it with you.

4.5 yrs - Management consulting @ McKinsey & Co. India, Mechanical Engineer 9.11 CGPA

This is an excellent early-career consulting profile on paper. A 9.11 CGPA in Mechanical Engineering already puts you in the top academic bracket, and McKinsey India carries massive brand weight—even with only ~6 months of experience.

Key strengths

McKinsey signals top-tier selection, problem-solving, and client exposure

Very strong academics → removes any academic risk concerns

Clear and consistent story: consulting pre-MBA → consulting post-MBA

Main risk to be aware of

Work experience is extremely low right now. Most MBA programs (especially ISB, top US/EU MBAs) will expect at least 18–24 months to fully leverage the McKinsey brand.

If applying too early, schools may see this as “great potential, but premature.”

What strengthens this profile fast

Stay at McKinsey long enough to show ownership (workstreams, client-facing responsibility, leadership signals)

Strong GMAT/GRE will matter disproportionately here to justify an early application

Essays must clearly answer why MBA now vs. why not wait

Overall: high-ceiling profile, but timing and execution will decide outcomes.

If you want a sharper assessment by school (ISB vs global MBAs) and guidance on when to apply and with what score, I’m happy to help.

- Dean's List ( Top 5% of batch) winner twice [ BMS from a tier 2 college ]

- Ran a startup in college selling handicrafts made by visually impaired and specially abled people
- While in college I interned for one summer at a international health organization and during another at a big 4 consulting firm.
- Graduated with High distinction
- Was Treasurer of Business society on campus, helped organize multiple events
- Currently working at a consulting firm specializing in Bankruptcy processing and have worked on projects with crypto exchanges, pharmaceuticals and renewable energy. Internship at the firm from Jan,2024 to Jul,24. Full time from Aug,24 to now. Recently got promoted to Associate. Have organized multiple fun events in office tho nit sure if that is relevant.

[ For my profile evaluation, please tell me
1) If i should retake my gmat and what score would be a safe one
2)what can I be doing to add to my profile in terms of extra-curricular activities and/or projects, I used to compete in taekwondo in school and during my break year I was involved in teaching self-defense but have not done that in years. I give tuitions to kids in my colony to make ends meet but it is genuinely something that brings me joy. not sure how that can tie into the mba story. I want to pivot towards business strategy and/or entrepreneurship, work at someplace that brings meaning and passion into my life, perhaps make some real impact. ]

Quick take:
This is a solid early-career consulting profile with real leadership and social impact, not just checkbox internships.

What works well

Dean’s List twice + High Distinction → strong academic signal despite tier-2 college

Startup with visually impaired artisans → genuine impact + entrepreneurship, very MBA-friendly

Big 4 internship + niche consulting (bankruptcy, crypto, pharma, renewables) → good problem exposure

Early promotion to Associate → positive trajectory

Treasurer role → actual responsibility, not fluff

What needs tightening

GMAT is the swing factor (you didn’t mention the score, which itself is a red flag in apps)

If targeting top programs: aim for 695–715 GMAT Focus as a “safe” range

Work ex is still on the lower side → schools will expect clarity of direction, not exploration

On extra-curriculars

Teaching self-defence + tutoring kids = keep this. It fits perfectly with your impact narrative

Don’t add random stuff now. Deepen one thread: education, empowerment, or access

Taekwondo only matters if you re-engage meaningfully (coaching, competitions, NGO tie-ups)

Story angle that works
Consulting + restructuring → strategy exposure
Social venture + teaching → purpose
MBA → scaling impact through strategy / entrepreneurship (not vague “passion”)

I’d be happy to walk you through where you stand for your target schools, GMAT strategy, and how to sharpen this story into a compelling application.

Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, you have a compelling professional story that clearly outperforms your raw academic stats, especially for West Coast and tech-leaning programs. 6 years in VC with real ownership, executing deals, leading due diligence, influencing policy, turning a VC unit profitable, and serving as a board director for a leading AI startup, is the kind of impact your target schools value, particularly given your emerging-market and tech focus.

Your academic record is uneven, but it’s already been partially repaired through a competitive local MBA, strong performance in graduate-level quantitative coursework, and a career that is undeniably finance- and analytics-heavy; the key will be clearly explaining the early setbacks and showing maturity, discipline, and trajectory since then.

The GMAT won’t be a differentiator, so your application must lean heavily on leadership stories, board-level exposure, founder coaching, and a tight VC-to-tech narrative. Overall, you have a non-traditional but credible profile.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!

Big Picture

This is a high-impact professional profile trapped under weak early academics. If evaluated holistically, it punches well above its GPA; if evaluated mechanically, it gets filtered early. Your outcome will depend heavily on school selection, test score, and narrative control.

What Works Strongly
Post-MBA work experience is genuinely elite (for Bangladesh): VC investing, IC exposure, board role, policy work with regulators, turnaround P&L impact — this is real signal, not resume padding.
Leadership depth > years of experience: Managing associates, advising founders, board-level exposure, pricing renegotiations with 6× revenue uplift — rare for your market.
Credible quantitative repair attempt: MS Econ coursework + A− in Mathematical Economics was a smart, targeted move.
National visibility: Startup Summit panels + ministry engagement matter for international adcoms.

Core Risk (This Is the Bottleneck)
BBA GPA 2.81/4 + Fs + gaps + 5-year completion
This will absolutely trigger concern at top global programs.

MBA GPA (3.15/4) helps, but since it’s from the same ecosystem, it doesn’t fully erase undergrad damage.
You must prove academic readiness externally.

What Will Decide Everything

Your GMAT / GRE. No way around it.
Target GMAT 705+ (classic) / 665–675+ Focus
or GRE 325+ with Q165+
Anything below this and top schools become unrealistic, regardless of work ex.
This is not optional — it’s the price of entry given your transcript.

Where You’re Competitive (If Test Score Is Strong)
Realistic / Smart Targets
Europe: HEC Paris, IESE, ESADE, IE, Rotterdam, Mannheim, Warwick
Asia: INSEAD (borderline but possible), NUS, NTU, HKUST
US (selective): Georgetown, UNC, Emory, Rice, McCombs (stretch)

Avoid
GPA-sensitive US M7 unless test score is exceptional
Schools that overweight undergrad GPA without context
Positioning Advice (Critical)
Do not over-defend the BBA — acknowledge, explain briefly, move on.

Anchor your story around:
Institutional investing + ecosystem building in an emerging market
Governance, capital allocation, and scaling discipline
Use recommenders who can speak to judgment, maturity, and board-level thinking, not just execution.

Bottom Line
This is a non-linear but powerful profile. With a strong test score and tight storytelling, you are very much in play internationally. Without it, the academics will cap you early.
I offer a free, objective profile assessment to help you understand your real chances and the specific levers you can pull to improve them.

Strong profile overall. An MBBS from a tier-1 Indian institute already gives you solid academic credibility, and healthcare work experience aligns very well with your post-MBA consulting goal (especially healthcare-focused practices at MBB/Kearney). The doctor → consultant transition is well understood and respected by top MBA programs, provided you clearly articulate why consulting and why now. If you can share more details about your profile (extracurriculars, school and college grades, etc.) I can offer deeper insights

Your chances will really depend on how tightly you connect your medical background, impact at work, and consulting narrative in the application.

Profile -
GMAT Score - 655 (Q85 V82 DI81)
Work Experience - 6 years (Varied - in Big4 valuation consulting (3.5 years) and 2.5 years in startups ($1b valuation startup and directly reporting to founder )
Nationality - Indian (Woman)
Age - 29
International Experience - Current company is US based works remotely (major market is US), with 125 employees globally, met them at international offsites, organised co-works with them during travel.
Education - 1. Bsc Economic honors (6.11 GPA);
2. CFA - cleared all 3 levels in 2019
Post MBA Goal - Want to Consulting
Few Target Schools - Duke, Darden, Columbia, Tepper
Queries -
1. As I am on the higher spectrum of the age for US MBA colleges, is it possible to get into 1?
2. Need opinion on my choice of schools. I am open for any other school suggestion based on my profile. I am not looking for any EU programs
3. If clearing all levels of CFA will compensate for low GPA and a 91 percentile GMAT score?

Best wishes. I hope the reattempt went well.
1. Yes, you are fine w.r.t. age group. Don't worry about this.
2. School selection is as much a science as an art. Approach it clinically and non-emotionally based on YOUR criteria of must-haves and nice-to-haves. When it comes to consulting post-MBA, almost every US school is a relevant choice. However, consulting is just one of the many lenses you should be using to select schools.
3. A completed CFA Charter is always a good credential, but it may not offset the weak GPA (which I am assuming is on a scale of 10). I am hoping your reattempt has improved the GMAT score by another 30-40 points at least.
Unsolicited point: when you quoted R2 2026, are you aiming to apply in Jan '26? Or is the reference to R2 in Jan '27? If the latter, then no worries. If not, then think again. Do not underestimate the effort needed to prepare strong applications, and if you still haven't selected schools, then you've already done much self-harm.

A few points here:
1. Your goals are going to be crucial. I hope you have a story in place to justify Big 4 consulting> founders office> consulting>>what in the long term? Your short term goal should be a preparatory step to the long term career. So it will be critical to get your goals story right, esp as you plan on applying to some top ranked MBA programs.
2. The CFA adds to your profile, but as Dee pointed out, its not going to rub out the low GPA. A higher GMAT score would definitely help here. That said, you should heavily highlight your quantitative and analytical skills honed through the CFA as well as your work experience. Use the optional essay and the recommendations to build your case.
3. I would add a few safer MBA programs to your list like Emory, Kelley, McDonough. In case you are not able to increase your GMAT score in your second attempt, you will need this safety net. Also, the second attempt date is bang in the middle of your application deadlines (if you are applying in January 2026). This can put immense pressure on you while juggling the applications and the GMAT exam together, so you should consider how you can make the best use of the little time you have in hand. Its important that you apply with the aim of getting admission so that your year is not wasted.

Hi Shreya
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, you are not too old for your target schools. Your target schools will be competitive given the combination of low undergrad GPA and overrepresented applicant pool. Your CFA is a big positive signal and does help offset academic concerns, especially for consulting/finance-heavy schools, but it won’t fully neutralize the GPA, this is where strong essays and recommendations really matter.

A retake closer to 675+ would meaningfully improve your odds, you should also consider Emory, McCombs, Ross, and Kenan-Flagler as solid targets with consulting pipelines. The Big4 valuation + founder-facing startup experience is a strong story if framed around problem-solving, ambiguity, and leadership, so focus on execution quality rather than expanding the list further.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!

Your professional experience sounds very compelling. The GPA is low and that would call for getting a very high GMAT score. With applications starting form May/ June (INSEAD), you have the time in hand to put the requisite effort on GMAT.

In addition to Namita's points, please do not underestimate the importance of your research on schools and plausibility of your post-MBA career goals. e.g., hardly any VC in the USA hires/sponsors international MBAs. If your narratives fail to showcase this level of due diligence, you can easily predict the outcome of your applications.

Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, you have a distinctive, policy-heavy profile that stands out from the typical engineering/finance pool, which works in your favor, especially for schools like Yale, Harvard, Stanford and INSEAD that value public impact, governance, and sustainability. Your trajectory from think tanks to Chief of Staff to an MP to Big 4 energy & sustainability consulting, combined with ongoing pro-bono work with the Ministry of Finance, creates a strong leadership and public-sector narrative with real-world influence.

Your GPA will be a visible academic concern for M7-level schools, so a strong GMAT/GRE and clear quantitative readiness will be critical to offset it. The biggest gap to address is your VC pivot, you will need to clearly articulate why VC makes sense from your policy/energy background and ideally show hands-on exposure. Your school list is very ambitious and broad, so refining it into reach, target and safety buckets and tailoring narratives accordingly will be key to maximizing admits and outcomes.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!

Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, your profile looks solid and well-positioned, especially for Europe/Middle East–focused consulting outcomes. You bring a strong technical foundation, 5 years of relevant consulting + entrepreneurial experience, and clear leadership impact, leading a 10-member cross-continental team and working directly with a Fortune 500 client with on-site Europe exposure fits very well with what European schools value.

Your startup experience adds differentiation and shows commercial depth beyond pure consulting. A 695 GMAT Focus is strong for all three schools, and your post-MBA goal of consulting in Europe/MENA is highly credible and well aligned with their recruiting ecosystems. To stand out further, focus your essays on leadership under complexity, cross-cultural impact, and clear consulting progression, and make sure your recommenders strongly reinforce your people leadership and client influence.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!

Hi Tattvamasi, Your profile is pretty solid for the b-schools you have mentioned here. All of these b-schools appreciate candidates with international exposure and you seem to have plenty of it. Your task will be to translate it on your applications and demonstrate that you have the ability, adaptability and cultural sensitivity to work with global teams- this is an important criterion at INSEAD. Consulting as a career goal sounds alright, that said, you will have to work on a story that shows passion for these career goals and that big that you wish to make through them. All three b-schools require career goals essays, so spending sufficient time on building this story will be crucial.
Do reach out for a more indepth profile evaluation where I can see your resume, have a chat to understand your profile and make more personalized suggestions.
