No I haven't taken any meds yet. I think I will start taking them, just for the exam. I grew up in North Africa where ADHD is not known, and people usually call it laziness. Thanks for the response.

Just some advice, if you're going to take meds for the test, take all of your practice test under the same conditions... Everyone reacts differently to them, and you may end up with an adverse reaction. Good luck!

Boo hiss boo. Seriously though, I've looked them up. Fuqua has employment broken out by number of offers per company. Darden only has the employment broken out by industry and salary, and they have a list of companies that recruit. Darden also has listed on the website that 29% go into consulting, but on the 2011/12 employment report it says 20% went into consulting.

I'm looking for input from current students or people who have thoughts beyond the published reports. For example, at Fuqua or Darden, what portion of those gunning for mbb jobs actually get them. Y'know stuff like that.
Although I think differences in student composition, school reputation, etc. may have some influence between Fuqua and Darden, I doubt the difference is significant. The main contributor to your probability of landing a job at M/B/B is you.

Thank you for the input asimov. While you were at Fuqua, did you find that most people who were seeking m/b/b employment were at least able to get interviews?

Sorry to sound like an ass but standardized tests should be just that. I don't think it's fair to get extra time, everyone could do significantly better with extra time. Special accommodations defeats the point of a standardize test

Lets not turn this thread into this debate.

Agreed. The meds can have some really annoying side effects - especially initially. I took them every day while I was studying so I was very used to them when test day rolled around, but you can also just take them situationally. Either way make sure you get the dosage figured out ahead of time and practice under the same conditions as highwyre said.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Does anyone know how decisions are released? Are they only released on the deadline or do they start coming out a few days before? Do decisions come by calls or e-mail?

thank you.

From what I saw before, they will send an email on the 18th saying the decision has been reached and you click a link (you'll need your application login information) to see the final notice.

I think they call you the next day.

That's right, except calls from your interviewer and your student Fuqua Buddy may take up to a week or two. It depends on their schedule. They also might call from their cell phone so it won't necessarily be a 919 area code.

I applied to Fuqua EA and Kenan-Flagler round 2. I was WL at Fuqua but admitted to KF. Fuqua is my top choice and so I am wondering if I should let them know about my status at KF. Does that carry any weight or is it erroneous?

Its been debated... but I doubt it will. On a positive note, you'll have the ability to stick the WL out much longer then most of us. You'll be going to that area on way or another, so... if they let you in right before orientation, you'll still be able to say yes.
