Hi,
I’m really struggling with my essays regarding the short term and long term goals post MBA. A little bit about my background, I’ve worked as an an Engineer in the Supply Chain dept of an automotive OEM and as a consultant in the Risk Advisory vertical of a Big Four accounting work. I’m now managing my family business that manufactures wooden furniture. It’s a very small set-up.
If I would genuinely answer the long-term goal question, I’d say that my goal is to run my own company. I don’t know what that’ll be and neither do I have any concrete business plan but after managing my family business, I feel that’s the right fit for me. In such a case should I mention this or stick to the more conventional long-term goals? Will schools feel that my goal is too vague?
For the short-term I’d want to work in a manufacturing set-up to getter a better insight into the business processes.
Any suggestions on the goals and how I should structure my essays?
