GMAT is a part of the application so a poor score can be overturned by a good profile. That being said, 580 as an Indian might be a little too much for the profile to cover for. Maybe another 50 or 70 points might give you a fighting chance but I personally wouldn’t fancy my chances with a sub 600 score.

Yeah your background might help you with a low score but B-Schools would be doubtful about a 580. A management degree requires certain analytical skills that B-Schools look for. So, a bare minimum GMAT score for good MiM programs would be 650. Ofcourse with 650, the profile matters a lot.

And to answer your questions on the main chat, HEC and INSEAD would be very far with a 580. Secondly, you are wrong when you say that you can not score a good score like engineers. I’m from a humanities background; I scored a 710. There are many engineers who can not cross 600 too. GMAT tests analytical and critical thinking skills, skills that are essential for success in a Business Master’s and that can be acquired with the right practice. You’re a doctor dude, you probably have the the ability to study much more than any standard gmat test taker.

Anyone who couldn’t submit applications to ESSEC/HEC in R2 because of unavailability of official GMAT Online scores?

Hey All,

I'm planning to apply for the MiM program in either Round 3 or Round 4. I would appreciate it if you could evaluate my profile.

GPA: 3.24. Graduated from a top 40 US college in August.
GMAT: 700 (Q48, V38)
Experience: 2 internships during college. Both were 6 months each. I'm currently working as a financial analyst in a bank.

Should I retake the GMAT and try to increase the score? Because I'm aware my GPA is very low compared to other candidates and I'm not sure how much that will hurt my chances.

hi, ESSEC contacted me to reload a document. Do I need to send a e-mail to the recruitment team to inform my update after reloading?

Hey!! there’s no need for that. I faced the same issue. But the admission committee gave me 24hours to upload the document again. Only then my application would have been reviewed.

I submitted my application on the last day and I recieved a mail a day after to upload a document again within 24hours. I did it in that period even though it was a a day later than the last day of Round 2. Withon few hours I recieved a confirmation mail that my application has been marked completed and will be reviewed as Round 2 application only.

I am really sorry to disrupt the group discussion but I really needed some guidance. I had also applied for the MSc in Management programme at University College Dublin, Smurfit. Does anyone have any insight to the programme offerings and how does it compare to the other programs out there?
