hello guys im an indian doctor applying for mim but my gmat practice test score is around 580. is it true that coming from a medical background can give you an advantage during the admission such as low gmat score requirement ??any help would be appreciated . im looking to apply in any business school in paris
Yeah your background might help you with a low score but B-Schools would be doubtful about a 580. A management degree requires certain analytical skills that B-Schools look for. So, a bare minimum GMAT score for good MiM programs would be 650. Ofcourse with 650, the profile matters a lot.
And to answer your questions on the main chat, HEC and INSEAD would be very far with a 580. Secondly, you are wrong when you say that you can not score a good score like engineers. I’m from a humanities background; I scored a 710. There are many engineers who can not cross 600 too. GMAT tests analytical and critical thinking skills, skills that are essential for success in a Business Master’s and that can be acquired with the right practice. You’re a doctor dude, you probably have the the ability to study much more than any standard gmat test taker.
Anyone who couldn’t submit applications to ESSEC/HEC in R2 because of unavailability of official GMAT Online scores?
