Question regarding IELTS exam, Is it really worth it?. I mean I know that it is not essential for most applications as my education was in English throughout. But does giving this exam and scoring high make any significant difference in your application (does it make or break)??.

No. It doesn’t. Its sole purpose is to check if you can handle a courseware in English. The schools where such tests are not mandatory, high scores in these tests don’t matter.
