The number will be LCM (3, 5, 12) + 2 = 62

It should be option E ; 2
2= 3*0+2
2=5*0+2
2=12*0+2

least reminder is 2 for all the divisors at multiple '0'

E , least positive number that will leave 2 as remainder is 2 when divided by 3,5,12.

What level question is this?

2 divided by 3 is 0 remainder 2,
2 divided by 5 is 0 remainder 2,
and 2 divided by 12 is 0 remainder 2.

I would go with option E.

The question asks for a positive integer so 0 cannot be taken. Isn't that right?

The question asks for "least positive integer which leaves 2 as a remainder when divided by 3,5 and 12", so it is asking for the number and not the quotient.

A little logic works in focusing on the disputed answer choices.

If 62 satisfies because dividing by 12 leaves a remainder of 2, then 2 also satisfies because it leaves a remainder of 2 when divided by 12.

And since 2<62, 2 is the answer

Although many have said that the correct answer is 62, I too thought it was, but on deeper reflection it is easier to visualize that the correct answer is E because 2/3 0 R= 2 2/5 = 0 R= 2 as well as for 12 r= 2
