Hello all,
I have received offers from Carroll, Boston College (20k $) and Fisher, OSU ( 30k $), and would love to hear your advice on which school better fits my career goals.
Post MBA goal:
- Corporate Finance/Roles with Project Valuation, Cash Flows and Financial planning.
- preferably in NYC/Boston hubs.
If I go by ranking/brand, Fisher is the most obvious choice, but Carroll seems to have a very obvious location advantage (Boston) and its Finance Faculty is quite well recognised.
I am not too keen on Graduate Assistantship. Fisher's merit based funding is tied with the assistantship (10hrs per week) and has no stand-alone tuition waiver, whereas Carroll BC has a 16k scholarship + 4k stipend for Assistantship. So if I take up Fisher I will have to compulsorily take up GA.
Please give me your thoughts and insights on these two choices. This will greatly help in my decision making.
Congrats for your offers.
I feel that you have studied well your situation and set your goals. I think going to Carroll will satisfy your goals. The recent stats shows that most of Carroll class employed in finance sector. So I think it is the best for you.
Good luck
